On April 17 (March 9 of the lunar calendar), thousands of people and tourists from all over the country came to Hung Temple (Phu Tho) before the Hung King's death anniversary in the year of Giap Thin 2024.
Avoid sudden increase in visitors to temples
Speaking to Tuoi Tre Online , Mr. Le Truong Giang, director of the Hung Temple historical relic site, said that since the festival opened until today, the number of people and tourists coming to Hung Temple has increased day by day, especially on April 14 (March 6 of the lunar calendar).
"It is estimated that up to now, about 2 million people and tourists have come to Hung Temple. Tomorrow is the main anniversary, we also predict that the number of visitors will increase.
Therefore, we have proactively worked with other sectors, especially the cultural sector, the Provincial Police, the Provincial Military Command and other functional forces to divert traffic and arrange locations for tourists to stop and rest, avoiding a sudden increase in the number of visitors to the temples," said Mr. Giang.
According to Mr. Giang, tomorrow morning, representatives of the Party, State, and Phu Tho province will hold an incense offering ceremony, so people and tourists will not be allowed to go to Nghia Linh mountain from 6am to 9am.
Therefore, the number of tourists congested at the festival center will be crowded.
The Organizing Committee has coordinated with the Youth Union, the relic site protection force, especially the police and military forces to build soft fences to arrange each batch of tourists to go up Nghia Linh mountain to ensure safety, without jostling or pushing.

"We have arranged soft fences and traffic diversions from the ceremonial axis as well as the turns into Hung Temple, not right from the temple gate to ensure that this year there will be no traffic congestion and no impact on the health and pilgrimage route of our compatriots and tourists," said Mr. Giang.
According to Mr. Giang, due to the hot weather in the past few days, crowded places will lead to cases of low blood pressure and heatstroke.
The health sector has arranged additional points at temples and crowded places to provide timely first aid.
"If there is hot weather, visitors should try to choose shady places and choose a reasonable time to make a pilgrimage to Nghia Linh mountain to avoid affecting their health," Mr. Giang advised.
It is forecasted that on the Hung Kings' death anniversary, Hung Temple will welcome about 500,000 visitors.
Do not wear revealing clothes when going to temples.
The organizers recommend that visitors and people preserve the nation's fine customs and wear formal, polite, and discreet clothing when visiting Hung Temple.
Practice religious rituals according to traditional rites and guidance of monks, nuns, and relic site officials, do not propagate or practice superstition.
Do not pick flowers, break branches, or burn incense along the way; do not bring toxic chemicals, explosives, flammable substances, light fires, or throw cigarette butts into the forest areas within the relic.
Weather on Hung King's death anniversary
Northern region : on the night of April 17 and early morning of April 18 (March 10 of the lunar calendar), there will be scattered showers and thunderstorms in some places, especially in mountainous areas, there will be heavy rain, then showers in some places, sunny in the afternoon. In particular, Dien Bien, Lai Chau, Son La, Hoa Binh will have hot and extremely hot days.
Central region : In the late afternoon and at night, there will be showers and thunderstorms in some places; the area from Thanh Hoa to Quang Binh will be sunny during the day, the western mountainous areas will have hot weather on April 18, then there will be widespread heat.
The area from Quang Tri to Phu Yen is hot and very hot; the area from Khanh Hoa to Binh Thuan is locally hot.
Central Highlands and Southern region : showers and thunderstorms in some places in the evening and at night, hot during the day, some places are extremely hot.
