International visitors grow impressively

In the first 6 months, the total number of tourists reached over 10.4 million, an increase of nearly 20% over the same period in 2023. Total tourism revenue was over VND 22,200 billion, an increase of over 30% over the same period. In particular, international visitors grew impressively with about 2 million arrivals, an increase of nearly 2.5 times over the same period in 2023, reaching over 60% of the annual plan.

Analyzing the international tourist market to Quang Ninh this year, the tourism industry pointed out 10 major international tourist markets to Quang Ninh, including: China, South Korea, Taiwan (China), USA, India, France, Australia, UK, Germany, Japan.

In the first half of this year, the province proactively innovated products, improved service quality, strengthened the assurance of the tourism business environment, and at the same time promoted and promoted, stimulated demand, and strongly attracted tourists. Localities in the province have cultural, artistic, and sports activities to attract tourists throughout the year.

On holidays such as Lunar New Year, April 30 - May 1, dozens of special events such as: Ha Long Carnival 2024, Beer and Squid Festival, Kite Festival, Lion and Dragon Festival, summer welcome programs have been organized in the province, effectively stimulating tourism.

Localities and units have actively implemented the development of new tourism products in the area along with improving the quality of existing products. Statistics show that up to now, 23/62 new tourism products in 2024 have been put into operation; the remaining products are being completed by localities and units in the coming time.

New high-end island resort products on the shores of Bai Tu Long Bay have made Van Don an attractive destination this summer, such as Wyndham Garden Sonasea Van Don Resort, Angsana Quan Lan Resort, and Ha Long Bay.

Night tourism products have also initially shown effectiveness such as the cruise night street, the Lighthouse entertainment complex, singing in the middle of wonders, and most recently, the commercial street following the model of a night entertainment market by the sea - VuiFest Ha Long.

Not only that, tourism promotion and advertising activities are enhanced based on taking advantage of opportunities from digital transformation, promoting on social networking platforms to increase awareness and widely spread the image of Quang Ninh tourism.

Striving to become an attractive destination all year round "not to be missed"

In 2024, Quang Ninh aims to attract 17 million tourists. This target is considered feasible as the province has a favorable start. The last months of the year are also the time to strongly attract foreign visitors, including high-end cruise ship passengers.

The province has identified the highest goal from now until 2030 as building Quang Ninh into a typical province of the country in all aspects, a model province, rich, beautiful, civilized, modern, improving the quality of life of the people in all aspects, becoming a national tourist locomotive, a tourist center connecting with the region and the world; developing modern, high-quality comprehensive services increasingly playing a leading role.

At the same time, turn tourism into a spearhead economic sector with a high-quality, international-class service system, high added value associated with sustainable development of the marine economy; attract tourists from all over the world, becoming an attractive destination in all four seasons that is "not to be missed" when coming to Vietnam. Therefore, Quang Ninh is building a tourism development project until 2030, with a vision to 2050.

The project persistently and consistently implements the policy of sustainable and inclusive development of Quang Ninh tourism on the basis of green growth as a requirement throughout policies, strategies and planning; developing green tourism in a professional, modern direction, with a focus and key points associated with preserving and promoting the values ​​and identity of the nation's culture; sustainable management and exploitation...
