Thanh Lan Island, Co To District, Quang Ninh Province (Video: Heritage)
Co To archipelago has about 50 large and small islands, belonging to Quang Ninh province and Co To Lon island is home to many beautiful beaches as well as impressive tourist attractions.
It takes about an hour and a half by speedboat from Van Don port, visitors will set foot on Co To island district and immediately feel the peace from the open space of the sea and the friendliness and hospitality of the islanders.
There are not many modern resorts and not too many hotels, so the beautiful beaches in Co To are the island's most valuable assets.
These beaches still have a wild appearance with pristine white sand banks and not far above the shore are primeval forests with rich vegetation.
The famous beautiful beaches in Co To are often located a few kilometers away from the town center. Hong Van Beach is located on the east side of the island, 5km from town, with a gently sloping beach and calm sea, very suitable and safe for tourists to swim.
Not only charming by its wildness, Hong Van is also a charming natural picture with gentle colors.
The emerald green of the sea, the pure white of the sand and the lush green of the trees and grass in the hundreds of years old primeval forest next to the beach. Van Chay beach, although a bit far from the center, 11km away, is still the place where tourists come to walk and swim the most. The curved coastline is embraced by smooth sand.
The water is so clear that you can see small fish swimming around. Unlike Hong Van, the waves at Van Chay are big, suitable for young people who like the excitement of jumping on the waves and playing on the beach. This is also a good place for groups of friends to pitch tents, light a campfire, and experience the mysterious night sea.
In addition to the beautiful beaches, when coming to Co To, visitors should not miss other attractive tourist destinations. It will be most wonderful if you see the whole view of Co To from above. About 4km from the town, Co To lighthouse is located on the top of a 101m high mountain, climbing 72 steps to the highest point, you can stand and admire the majestic and poetic sea and island space.
