TPO - While traveling on the Ho Chi Minh City - Trung Luong highway, an ambulance suddenly caught fire.

On March 9, information from Highway Traffic Control Patrol Team No. 7 under Department 6 - Traffic Police Department (Ministry of Public Security) said that they are coordinating with relevant professional units to investigate the cause of the ambulance fire on the Ho Chi Minh City - Trung Luong Expressway.

Traffic police used fire extinguishers to put out the fire.

According to initial information, at around 10:30 a.m. the same day, an ambulance with a Tien Giang province license plate driven by Nguyen Ngoc R. (48 years old, residing in Chau Thanh district, Tien Giang province) was traveling on the Ho Chi Minh City - Trung Luong highway in the direction from the Western provinces to Ho Chi Minh City.

When arriving at Thanh Duc commune, Ben Luc district, Long An province, the ambulance suddenly caught fire.

Upon discovering the incident, the ambulance driver pulled into the emergency lane, stopped, and shouted for help. The people in the ambulance were lucky to have escaped, so there were no casualties.

Other drivers on the highway and local residents then came to help put out the fire on the spot but were unsuccessful. Due to the intense fire, the ambulance was almost completely burned down.

The accident caused prolonged traffic congestion on the Ho Chi Minh City - Trung Luong highway.

Upon receiving the news, the highway traffic police force quickly arrived at the scene to put out the fire, regulate traffic, protect the scene and coordinate with authorities to investigate the cause of the fire.
