Thi Nai Lagoon is known as the green lung of Quy Nhon City and the precious gem of Binh Dinh Province. The lagoon covers an area of 5,000 hectares. The landscape here is green and poetic all year round.

Located 8km northeast of Quy Nhon city, Thi Nai lagoon is the largest lagoon in Binh Dinh, with a rich ecosystem. The highlight of Thi Nai lagoon is the vast green mangrove forests and long canals spreading everywhere. Visitors coming here feel like they are lost in a land of rivers, water, sky and clouds, extremely wild and interesting.

In the lagoon, near the western shore, there is a small mountain. On it, there is a small temple built by fishermen to worship the water god. The shape of the mountain resembles an ancient tower, called Thay Boi Tower . Dawn breaks, fishing boats begin to cast their nets on the lagoon in the misty mist, as beautiful as a fairyland.

Historically, Thi Nai lagoon was the naval base of the Tay Son dynasty, where fierce naval battles took place between the Tay Son army and Nguyen Anh's army in the early 19th century (1801).
