Binh Dinh appoints a series of new department directors

On the afternoon of February 20, the Standing Committee of Binh Dinh Provincial Party Committee held a conference to announce the decision on organizational structure and personnel work.

After streamlining the apparatus, the People's Committee of Binh Dinh province has 7 newly established departments including: Department of Finance, Department of Construction, Department of Agriculture and Environment, Department of Science and Technology, Department of Culture - Sports and Tourism, Department of Home Affairs, Department of Ethnic Minorities and Religions.

At the conference, the Provincial Party Committee announced decisions to transfer and appoint a series of new department directors and deputy department directors after streamlining the apparatus.

Mr. Cao Thanh Thuong, Deputy Head of the Economic Zone Management Board, was appointed Director of the Department of Agriculture and Environment.

Ms. Do Thi Dieu Hanh, Director of the Department of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs, becomes Director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism.

Mr. Tran Kim Kha, Director of the Department of Information and Communications, was appointed Director of the Department of Science and Technology.

Mr. Luong Dinh Tien, Chairman of Van Canh District People's Committee, is Director of the Department of Ethnic Minorities and Religions.

Mr. Tran Thanh Dung, Director of the Department of Transport, becomes Director of the Department of Industry and Trade.

Mr. Tran Viet Bao, Director of Binh Dinh Department of Construction.

The remaining 3 departments have unchanged names and their leadership positions have also remained unchanged. Specifically, the Department of Construction is headed by Mr. Tran Viet Bao, the Department of Finance is headed by Mr. Nguyen Thanh Hai, and the Department of Home Affairs is headed by Mr. Le Minh Tuan.

Currently, Binh Dinh Provincial People's Committee has 14 specialized agencies, a reduction of 6/20 agencies (reaching a rate of 30%). In addition to the 7 newly established departments mentioned above, 7 agencies maintain operations including the Department of Justice, Department of Industry and Trade, Department of Education and Training, Department of Health, Department of Foreign Affairs, Provincial Inspectorate, and Provincial People's Committee Office.

Mr. Ho Quoc Dung, Secretary of Binh Dinh, said that the cases of appointment, transfer and rotation in this term were selected by the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee and arranged in positions suitable to the professional capacity and political qualities of each person. In particular, they received a very high consensus from the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee. This is not only an honor but also a great responsibility assigned by the Provincial Party Committee, the Provincial People's Council and the Provincial People's Committee.

Mr. Ho Quoc Dung said that terminating the operations of organizations that are no longer suitable and transferring functions and tasks to corresponding units is an inevitable step to improve the operational efficiency of the apparatus, ensuring streamlining but not reducing leadership effectiveness.

Binh Dinh Secretary requested that agencies and units receiving new tasks must immediately get to work, not leaving any gaps, not interrupting the activities of the political system and social life.

The Secretary of Binh Dinh said that currently, Binh Dinh has 175 leaders and officials who have applied for early retirement, are on leave pending retirement, and have quit their jobs, to facilitate the restructuring of the province's organization and apparatus.

Of these, 131 comrades are at the provincial level and 44 comrades at the district level, with 13 comrades under the management of the Provincial Party Committee Standing Committee. On behalf of Binh Dinh leaders, Mr. Ho Quoc Dung respectfully commended their sacrifice, exemplary role and high sense of responsibility.
