Ukraine strengthens reserve troops
On the eastern flank, the tactical decisions of the Ukrainian Armed Forces on the battlefield did not differ much from the previous ones. The main focus was on the transfer of new forces. Some units, such as the 41st Motorized Rifle Brigade of the Ukrainian Armed Forces and the combined units of the 110th TrO Brigade, were reportedly deployed from the Kupyansky direction.
On the northern flank, the Ukrainian Armed Forces have regrouped and are conducting attacks on units of the Russian 200th Brigade. No heavy fighting has taken place, but it is increasingly clear that the Ukrainian Armed Forces on the northern flank of Chasov Yar have unused reserves.

Fierce fighting
On the southern flank, fierce fighting is taking place between Dolgiy and the Stupki Golubovskie-2 nature reserve. The extensive network of support forces allows the Ukrainian Armed Forces to flexibly shift defensive resources from one position to another. However, the Ukrainian Armed Forces are also unlikely to be able to keep them safe.
On the Russian side, a significant number of missile systems with thermobaric ammunition are actively being deployed to the combat zone. These systems are actively used in offensive operations against the Armed Forces of Ukraine south of Kanal, destroying the network of support forces near the Seversky Donets-Donbass canal and deep in the Novy district.
In general, the situation on the Chasov Yar front remains tense. The Armed Forces of Ukraine continue to rely on the transfer of new forces to increase their numbers. On the Russian side, a significant number of missile systems with thermobaric ammunition are being accumulated, which can significantly influence the course of hostilities.

Besides the Chasov Yar "hotspot", the Russian army also increased the use of drones to destroy military targets in many areas of Ukraine.
According to SF, between April 6 and April 12, the Russian military destroyed or damaged 32 military targets of the Ukrainian Forces with Lancet suicide drones.
Ukraine's losses were all recorded on video by Losarmour.info, including: 9 main battle tanks; 8 self-propelled guns, including 2 British-made AS-90s and a Polish-made Krab; 6 towed guns, including 2 American-made M777s and a British-Italian FH-70; 3 high-mobility vehicles, including a US-made Humvee; an infantry fighting vehicle and a self-propelled anti-aircraft gun.
The Lancet drone was developed by ZALA Aero, a subsidiary of Russian defense giant Kalashnikov Concern. The company produces two versions of the drone, the Izdeliye-52, which has an endurance of 30 minutes and carries a 1 kg warhead, and the larger Izdeliye-51, which has an endurance of 40 minutes and is equipped with a 3 kg warhead.
Ukrainian efforts to stop the Lancet suicide drones with anti-aircraft fire, electronic warfare or countermeasures were largely unsuccessful.
