Fierce fighting in Chasov Yar, Ukraine faces danger

On April 5, according to AVP, fierce fighting took place in the suburb of Chasov Yar in Donbass. Advisor to the head of the self-proclaimed Donetsk People's Republic, Mr. Yan Gagin, shared with RIA Novosti that the Russian army continued to surround the city, about half a kilometer away.

AVP reported that Ukrainian military analysts said the battle for the city of Chasov Yar is becoming increasingly tense as Russian troops have achieved a breakthrough in the suburbs.

According to analysts, on April 4, air force units, supported by armored vehicles, intensified their attacks to capture the city.

According to the Telegram channel "Military Reporter of the Russian Spring", the main attack was launched on the eastern part of Chasov Yar. The assault group not only reached the Kanal district, but also successfully landed. They are likely to capture important strategic positions along Zelenaya Street.

Green Street, on the edge of the city from Bakhmut, is now also under the control of Russian landing forces.

Chasov Yar, located near Artemovsk (Bakhmut), has now become a solid, fortified stronghold of Ukrainian forces. In anticipation of a Russian attack, Ukraine has significantly strengthened its positions in the city, building defensive structures, engineering fortifications and minefields.

The serious preparations of the Ukrainian Armed Forces at Chasovy Yar include fortifying positions with concrete and creating an effective defense system, making it difficult for the Russian army to advance. However, according to Mr. Gagin, Russian artillery and aviation are increasing pressure on the main traffic arteries, trying to cut off supply routes and disrupt the logistics of the Ukrainian Armed Forces group in the city.

The effect of such actions could significantly weaken the Ukrainian army's positions in Chasovy Yar, putting pressure on an important transport hub for moving resources and reinforcements to this sector of the front.

The current situation of the Ukrainian Armed Forces in the Chasov Yar area is considered dangerous in the face of the rapid advance of the Russian army. The situation in the city is heating up and, according to analysts, the upcoming battles will be decisive.
