In the warm atmosphere of the meeting, comrade Lam Minh Dang, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee read the congratulatory letter to Chol Chnam Thmay in 2025 from the Provincial Party Committee, People's Council, People's Committee, and Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the province.

Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Le Van Han delivered a congratulatory speech; at the same time, he called on all monks, compatriots, comrades, cadres and soldiers of the Khmer ethnic group in the province to continue working with the Party Committee and the government to concentrate on successfully implementing the tasks and goals of the Resolution of the 11th Provincial Party Congress, making achievements to welcome the Party Congresses at all levels in the province for the 2025-2030 term towards the 14th National Party Congress. Continue to preserve and promote the cultural identity of the nation, national unity, be vigilant, resolutely fight and refute the distorted propaganda and plots to sabotage the great national unity bloc of hostile forces at home and abroad.

Reporting on the results of ethnic work and ethnic policies in the province, Comrade Kien Ninh, Director of the Department of Ethnic Minorities and Religions of Tra Vinh province, said that in 2025, the Central Government continued to issue many policies and investment and support policies for ethnic minority areas. This has contributed significantly to changing the face of the Khmer ethnic minority area. The material and spiritual life of the people has improved significantly in recent times. Equality, solidarity, respect, and mutual assistance for progress among ethnic groups in the province have been increasingly strengthened, consolidated and tightened.

Comrade Kien Ninh, Director of the Department of Ethnic Minorities and Religions of Tra Vinh province reported on the results of ethnic work in the province.

The political security, order and social safety in the Khmer ethnic minority area are maintained and stable; the work of dialogue, reconciliation, consultation, education and mobilization of the people to comply with the Party's guidelines and policies, the State's policies and laws are always well implemented. Health care work in the Khmer ethnic minority area is always of interest to all levels and sectors; the traditional festivals of the ethnic minority are led and directed by the Provincial Party Committee and the Provincial People's Committee to be organized with attention by all levels and sectors in a joyful, united, thrifty and safe spirit. This shows that the ethnic policy has been and is entering life, contributing to sustainable poverty reduction, and the rural appearance of the ethnic minority area is increasingly improving.

The Director of the Department of Ethnic Minorities and Religions of the province affirmed that the above results have significantly contributed to reducing the rate of poor Khmer households. By the end of 2024, the province had 1,317 poor households, accounting for 1.46% and 2,426 near-poor Khmer households, accounting for 2.70% of the total number of Khmer households. The ethnic cultural identity is preserved and promoted. The tradition of solidarity among ethnic groups is increasingly tightened; political security, order and social safety are maintained. These are encouraging signs, creating momentum for the stable development of the locality in the coming time.

Venerable Thach Sok Xane, Chairman of the Provincial Association of Patriotic Buddhist Monks, spoke at the meeting.

Excited about the achievements of the province, at the meeting, the delegates heard Most Venerable Thach Sok Xane, Head of the Executive Committee of the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha of the province; Chairman of the Association of Patriotic Monks and Monks of Tra Vinh province express their determination to continue promoting the spirit of solidarity. Absolute trust in the leadership of the Party, together with the local government to build the homeland more and more prosperous.

The concert "The opening drum beat" performed by actors and artists of the Khmer Art Troupe Anh Binh Minh welcomed the meeting.

On this occasion, Minister of Ethnic Minorities and Religions Dao Ngoc Dung and the meeting's organizing committee presented many gifts to outstanding groups and individuals.
