The quality of secondary education is emphasized

Looking at the analysis score spectrum, the good news is that the convergence is seen, reflecting that high school education has been valued and there is no large deviation. This proves that in the process of organizing teaching in localities, teachers have paid attention to the fundamental foundation of high school education, creating a solid foundation for students to enter life and creating opportunities for them to continue participating in post-secondary education.

The high school graduation exam has two goals. One is to confirm the 12 years of study of students, the exam has covered comprehensive content and has been evaluated with good results. With the reliability of general education, it will be the foundation for universities to consider admission based on the combinations.

The results also reflect the way the Exam is organized. Although this exam is to end a program, it opens a new trend, students can access post-secondary education with certainty.

From the score distribution results, I am pleased that from remote areas to developed areas, the convergence of general education is shown in all subject scores, the difference is not much and not significant. With such a distribution graph, it proves that the teaching organization process, the question making process, and data analysis have met the requirements.

Regarding the 2018 General Education Program that is being implemented and next year students will be assessed according to the criteria of this Program, I think that in the process of organizing teaching and learning, it is necessary to pay great attention to basic knowledge, balance between fields, and pay attention to the combinatorial nature, interdisciplinary nature, and integrated nature.

Thus, in the process of evaluating students in next year's exam, the questions will also focus on this content, assessing the overall academic ability of the learner and then helping them to have the mindset and methods to solve practical problems with certainty later in life.

That will also encourage and influence the teaching process of teachers; teachers will value synthesis, value combination and value integrated teaching not only in school but also outside the school. We must make general education a foundation to help students enter life, whether participating in production or post-secondary education, with a certain level of certainty and good adaptation to changes in the current environment.

Exams need to be more uniform, reducing the difference between scores of subjects.

I see that, basically, the score distribution this year is quite good. That shows that the results of the Exam are quite stable compared to previous exams and reflects the quality of teaching in general education.

Specifically, the score distribution of some subjects such as History is very good. In addition, the score distribution of English also started to have more positive changes compared to the score distribution of previous years.

The stable results of this year's Exam reflect both the process of organizing the Exam and closely assessing the quality of teaching and learning of the 2006 General Education Program. Therefore, this is a very good basis for preparing, evaluating, and organizing the 2025 High School Graduation Exam with the 2018 General Education Program. With the current implementation methods such as changing the exam format and adding new exam formats, it will better reflect the quality of teaching and learning in high schools.

One of the goals set for the High School Graduation Exam is to have a certain differentiation so that universities can base their admissions on the results. In my opinion, this goal has been initially achieved. With many score ranges and differentiation in results between subjects, it is completely possible for universities to base their admissions on that combination.

As for the exam questions this year, I think they have been done fairly well and have gradually been able to access new exam question technologies. However, I still hope that the exam questions in the following exams will be more uniform, with less difference between the scores of the subjects. This will create a common ground for easy assessment of the quality of teaching and learning.

Another very important goal of the High School Graduation Exam is to adjust the teaching and learning process in general schools. Therefore, if the results of the Exam are evaluated reliably and objectively, as they have been done, it will be a very good basis for educational managers and teachers to adjust their teaching and learning processes and achieve the desired results.

Improve average score in Natural and Social subjects

I think the exam has achieved very objective results. On a common knowledge level of the whole country, this year's score range is completely reliable for universities to have a common level for university admission.

Through the exam results, we can see that the exam matrix as well as the basic difficulty level have remained stable and all subjects have had very positive changes.

The good news is that the average score below 5 in all subjects has improved significantly. Even subjects such as Math, History, Physics, which are subjects that often have relatively large below average scores. This result also shows the stability and efforts in studying and teaching of students and teachers, achieving more obvious progress compared to previous years. This is a good sign for the quality of general education in the country in general.

Through the assessment of the score distribution, the Social Science group such as Literature and Geography has a high rate of excellent scores and low rate of below average scores; meanwhile, the Natural Science group such as Mathematics and Physics has an improved rate of excellent scores but the rate of below average scores is still higher than other subjects. Therefore, the orientation of exams and university admission in the Natural Science group needs to be noted and focused more.
