Dredging 2.97 km of Trung Thuy Nong canal and Ho Xa river

Today, April 9, Permanent Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Ha Sy Dong signed a decision approving the plan to dredge 2.97 km to clear the flow and recover fill materials at Trung Thuy Nong canal and Ho Xa river, Vinh Linh district.

The dredging site in Vinh Chap commune is invested and implemented by Hop Luc QT Company Limited; the form of investment is dredging, recovering the products after dredging as leveling materials in the form of socialization.

Implementation period is 3 years from the date of permission from the Provincial People's Committee. Total dredging volume is 73,657 m ³ (of which clearance volume accounts for 15% equivalent to 10,817 m ³ ; recovery volume accounts for 85% equivalent to 60,580 m ³ ). Total dredging area is 54,085 m ² .

The dredging aims to restore the original flow of Trung Thuy Nong canal and Ho Xa river, increase flood drainage capacity, prevent flow blockage, avoid flooding upstream, and help people stabilize their lives.

At the same time, increase the storage capacity to supplement water resources on the river by about 73,657 ^m3 to create a source for pumping to combat drought; supplement a part of the volume of filling materials for construction works currently lacking in Quang Tri province, minimizing illegal exploitation of materials that cause loss of State resources.
