Quang Ngai City Party Committee held the 20th Conference, term XVI

Thereby, contributing to building a streamlined and effective government, aiming to serve the people better and better.

On the morning of April 11, the Standing Committee of the Quang Ngai City Party Committee held the 20th Conference, term XVI, to evaluate the results of the implementation of tasks in the first quarter and deploy tasks in the second quarter of 2025. Member of the Provincial Standing Committee, Secretary of the Quang Ngai City Party Committee Ngo Van Trong and other Standing Committee members of the City Party Committee chaired the conference.

In the first quarter of 2025, the city's socio-economic situation achieved many positive results. Local budget revenue is estimated to reach 50.09% of the estimate, an increase of 340.61% over the same period in 2024; total production value (2010 comparative price) increased by 8.55%. The City Party Committee and the Standing Committee of the City Party Committee have implemented and completed the tasks of arranging departments, offices, units, and specific associations in accordance with the spirit of the Central Steering Committee's Conclusion on the summary of Resolution No. 18-NQ/TW. Accordingly, the City Party Committee has completed the merger of the administrative units of Nghia An and Nghia Phu communes; merged the Propaganda Department and the City Party Committee's Mass Mobilization Department; arranged and reorganized the city's specialized agencies; and received 36 party organizations and party members transferred from the Party Committee of the Provincial Agencies and Enterprises Bloc.

At the same time, transfer 21 party organizations under the City Party Committee to the Party Committees of 7 wards; dissolve and establish new branches and party organizations under the City Party Committee; effectively implement the Central Public Security Project on not organizing district-level police, the City Public Security is mobilized to local units, quickly stabilize the organization, assign tasks, ensure effective operation from March 1, 2025...

In the second quarter, the Quang Ngai City Party Committee determined to continue to synchronously carry out socio-economic development tasks associated with the reorganization of the apparatus in the spirit of not organizing at the district level and reorganizing the commune-level administrative units. At the same time, focus on completing plans for the apparatus and personnel organization; deploy propaganda and fully disseminate the regimes and policies to support resignation and retirement according to wishes; ensure that the reorganization process does not interrupt work.

At the conference, delegates studied and thoroughly understood the documents of the Central and Provincial Party Committees. At the same time, they exchanged and discussed a number of contents related to the arrangement and streamlining of the apparatus, the disorganization of district level and the arrangement of commune-level administrative units.

In his concluding remarks at the conference, Secretary of the Quang Ngai City Party Committee Ngo Van Trong requested agencies and units to urgently review and hand over tasks, records, and related assets before June 15, 2025. In particular, focusing on simultaneously performing regular tasks and preparing well for the transfer of functions and tasks from the city level to the provincial departments and branches in the 2-level government model. In particular, the program to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses will be completed before June 15, 2025.
