Opening of Hanoi Tourism Gift Festival 2025

Attending the program were Deputy Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism Ho An Phong; Member of the Standing Committee of the City Party Committee, Chairwoman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Hanoi Nguyen Lan Huong; Vice Chairman of the Hanoi People's Committee Nguyen Manh Quyen and representatives of leaders of several provinces and cities.

The Hanoi Tourism Gift Festival 2025 is part of a series of tourism promotion events in 2025 of the city to celebrate major national and ethnic holidays; the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification Day (April 30, 1975 - April 30, 2025) and respond to the National Tourism Year 2025.

Speaking at the opening ceremony, Director of the Hanoi Department of Tourism Dang Huong Giang said that in 2024, tourism will continue to play a role as an economic sector with great influence in the capital with strong growth in both quality and quantity. The total number of tourists to Hanoi will reach 27.88 million, an increase of 12.7% compared to 2023, including 6.37 million international visitors, an increase of 34.8%; total revenue from tourists will reach about 110.66 trillion VND, an increase of 18.5% compared to 2023, contributing positively to the city's socio-economic development.

“Following the success of the Hanoi Tourism Gift Festival seasons in previous years, this year's program with the theme "Hanoi Tourism - World Heritage Destination" honors the cultural heritage values ​​of the capital, through tourism gifts to tell stories about heritage values, urging tourists to experience and preserve memories, thereby spreading the love of Hanoi to domestic and international friends", Ms. Dang Huong Giang shared.

The Hanoi Tourism Gift Festival 2025 is a large-scale, elaborately staged event. The festival attracts the participation of 80 booths from famous tourist areas, destinations, and craft villages in Hanoi, localities across the country, along with the positive response of artisans, artists, tourism and aviation units and businesses, and gift production and trading establishments in Hanoi...

Participating in the program, visitors can experience many attractive spaces, designed according to different themes, such as: Space to experience heritage destinations, tourist destinations (including the Old Quarter, Hanoi Old Street; World Heritage Site of Thang Long Imperial Citadel; Temple of Literature - Quoc Tu Giam...).

In addition, the space to experience traditional craft villages will be a place to honor two craft villages recognized as members of the World Network of Creative Craft Cities: Bat Trang pottery (Gia Lam district) and Van Phuc silk (Ha Dong district).

In addition, the festival also has a space to introduce tourism gift products; a space to promote tours, introduce unique tourism products, tour voucher gifts, promotional programs, and stimulus programs of travel businesses, tourist accommodation establishments, tourist attractions and airlines, etc.

Coming to the festival, visitors can also experience a space introducing typical cuisine of Hanoi and some provinces and cities across the country; a miniature space for taking photos with the theme "Hanoi - World Heritage Destination"; a space displaying beautiful photos of Hanoi; a space for digital transformation of Hanoi tourism, introducing virtual reality technology in tourism (VRT).

During the festival, visitors will enjoy many performances of Hanoi's intangible cultural heritage, such as: Ca Tru singing, Ai Lao singing and dancing (Long Bien district), Do singing (Quoc Oai district), Dao Thuc water puppetry (Dong Anh district), tug of war game (Long Bien district)...; workshops on experiencing craft villages, making products at some special and creative booths combined with charity activities; activities introducing the tourism development potential of some other localities across the country...
