To create a breakthrough in territorial space development, Nam Dinh province will form and develop 3 dynamic economic zones; 4 key dynamic urban centers; 5 key dynamic economic corridors that play a role in connecting economies in the Red River Delta region, and act as a transit bridge in economic cooperation and linkage with other provinces in the country, region and internationally.
Specifically, the 3 dynamic economic zones include: Nam Dinh City Economic Zone expansion; Agricultural and rural areas (Y Yen, Vu Ban, Nam Truc, Truc Ninh districts); Marine economic zone (Nghia Hung, Giao Thuy, Xuan Truong districts).
To make a breakthrough in development, Nam Dinh will develop 4 key urban centers including: Urban area with the expanded Nam Dinh city center and satellite urban cores (Nam Giang - Cao Bo town); Thinh Long - Rang Dong urban center (Rang Dong town, Quy Nhat town, Thinh Long town and Ninh Co economic zone); Cao Bo urban center (Lam town, 4 communes and Bo town in Y Yen district); Giao Thuy urban center (Quat Lam town, Giao Thuy town, Dai Dong urban area).

There are 5 key economic corridors being formed and developed in Nam Dinh province, including: National Highway 10 corridor (from Nam Dinh city to Cao Bo); North-South expressway corridor extension (from Hanoi to Cao Bo and Rang Dong); Coastal road corridor (from Ninh Binh to Rang Dong, Giao Thuy, Thai Binh); Nam Dinh city - Lac Quan - Giao Thuy corridor and Ninh Binh - Thai Binh - Quang Ninh expressway corridor.
These corridors are considered key breakthroughs, based on the four growth poles, and are expected to open up new space for Nam Dinh province's development in the 2025 - 2030 period.
