Russia destroys US mercenaries at Kursk front

According to Kienthucnet, the Kursk front has been fighting fiercely in recent days. The Russian army has concentrated more than 30,000 troops here and launched a local counterattack campaign on the Ukrainian army area in Kursk. The Ukrainian army has also begun a counterattack in the Glushkovo area, aiming to attack the flank and rear of the Russian counterattack force.

The Russian Army's counter-offensive was carefully prepared, starting with a lightning strike, recapturing hundreds of square kilometers of territory and dozens of villages. To save the situation, the Ukrainian army launched a small counter-offensive in the Glushkovo area, destroying nine bridges over the Seym River, aiming to encircle and destroy 3,000 Russian troops and more than 20 villages and towns in the area.

The Ukrainian Army has deployed secondary units and defense brigades to the front line to block the main forces of the Russian Army. The 21st and 110th Motorized Infantry Brigades; the 95th Air Assault Brigade, the 17th Tank Brigade and the 225th Heavy Assault Battalion equipped with Western weapons have all been deployed in the Glushkovo area.

It can be seen that the Ukrainian Army's forward command at the Kursk front has deployed all its elite forces, determined to capture the Glushkovo region and win a big victory to cheer up the Democratic Party in the US election. According to Russian information, the Ukrainian Army is launching a continuous offensive along the Kras nook tya br' skiy, in the southwest of the Glushkovo region.

On this direction of attack, Strv-122 tanks (Leopard 2A6 version specially made for Sweden) and CV-90 infantry fighting vehicles equipped with 40 mm guns provided by Sweden to Ukraine can be seen; this shows that the 21st Mechanized Infantry Brigade of Ukraine, fully equipped with modern Western weapons, has been launched into this important opening.

On the side of the Russian Army, in the direction of Glushkovo, they deployed the 56th Airborne Regiment of the 7th Airborne Division; the 51st Airborne Regiment of the 106th Guards Airborne Division and several mobile combat groups of the 8th Army Corps of the Southern Military District to stop the Ukrainian offensive in the Glushkovo area. At the same time, they launched a counterattack and stopped the Ukrainian forward attack forces in Veseloye, Medvezhie and Novyi Put.

Overall, the Russian Army is also conducting a major counteroffensive on a wider front. The commander of the Russian Akhmat special operations unit announced that they had defeated a forward reconnaissance unit of a private US mercenary company, Ukrainian special forces and several Ukrainian field forces in the Sudzha region.

Russian sources said that the Ukrainian army had lost thousands of troops in the Sudzha region, as well as hundreds of vehicles, including many armored vehicles. However, Ukraine continued to send additional combat troops, including mercenaries from US private military companies. These newly-reinforced troops also suffered heavy losses.

On the Kursk battlefield, the Russian Army showed no mercy to foreign mercenaries. The Russian Defense Ministry said that during the Kursk operation, the Russian Army killed 14,200 Ukrainian soldiers and destroyed 119 tanks and armored vehicles advancing towards Kursk.

The Ukrainian army deployed most of its artillery to the Kursk front, which was basically mortars. The Ukrainian army command ordered that artillery shells not be fired at Russian infantry. To save ammunition, mortar shells were only used against Russian commandos or infantry assault troops.

Ukraine mass evacuation from Ugledar

The 72nd Separate Mechanized Brigade of Ukraine, consisting of about 2,000 soldiers, began to leave its defensive positions near Ugledar and retreat towards Bogoyavlenka.

Forbes news agency confirmed the information and reported that fighting is taking place inside the city of Ugledar.

“It appears that as Russian forces began closing in on the city’s flanks last week, the 2,000-strong 72nd Mechanized Brigade, armed with T-64 tanks, BMP-2s and M-109s, began withdrawing to safer positions,” Forbes reported.

It is likely that the 72nd Motorized Infantry Brigade in Ugledar is falling into a trap set by the Russian army, as the 40th Marine Brigade of Russia is pursuing the retreating Ukrainian units.

US sends 'big gift' to Ukraine

The US Department of Defense recently announced an additional security assistance package for Ukraine with a total value of 375 million USD, including ammunition for the HIMARS system, 105 and 155 mm artillery shells, Javelin, AT-4 and TOW anti-tank missiles, mine-resistant armored vehicles and many other types of weapons and equipment.

The aid package was deployed under Presidential Availability Adjustment (PDA), a law that allows the US government to directly withdraw weapons from its stockpile to transfer to partners in an emergency without congressional approval.

According to the Pentagon, this is the 66th time the agency has withdrawn military equipment from its stockpile to transfer to Ukraine since August 2021. US Secretary of State Anthony Blinken emphasized that the aid package will be deployed as quickly as possible.

Washington announced the aid package as the remaining nearly $6 billion in PDA funding for Kiev is set to expire at the end of September unless the US Congress renews its authority.

Hungarian Foreign Minister Makes Hot Statement on Ukraine Aid Issue

Hungarian Foreign Minister Peter Szijjártó said at the general political discussion at the 79th session of the United Nations General Assembly that Western arms supplies to Ukraine turned out to be meaningless; they could not change the situation on the battlefield.

“We must honestly ask ourselves whether the West’s arms supplies to Ukraine are justified. Obviously, they do not make any sense because they do not change the situation on the battlefield and do not bring us closer to peace. Arms supplies only lead to a prolonged war,” the head of the Hungarian foreign ministry said.

He also expressed hope that “those who are still thinking about sending more weapons to Ukraine will consider the consequences later.”
