Golden Autumn in England

During a two-week trip to England in late October, Le Tue Tinh, a tour guide living in Hoi An, spent two days on October 22-23 visiting four ancient villages.

Pictured is the Royal Crescent, the most famous and photographed tourist attraction in Bath, Somerset. The structure consists of 30 adjacent houses, shaped like a 150m long crescent, located near the center, built between 1767 and 1774. It is considered the "jewel in the architectural crown of Bath".

Victoria Bandstand Park (pictured), a 5-minute walk from the city centre, offers panoramic views of Royal Crescent and is one of the city's most popular outdoor areas.

The Vietnamese male tourist said that on the day he visited Bath village, the weather was nice because it was sunny so he took many pictures and the village welcomed many visitors.

Bath, a UNESCO World Heritage Site in southwest England, is the location of the hit series Bridgerton and a setting in Jane Austen's novels.

From the city, visitors can book a day trip to visit the Cotswolds or nearby Stonehenge. "Whether you want to immerse yourself in history or soak in hot springs, Bath has it all," according to travel site Viator.

Located about an hour's drive from Bath is Bourton on the Water, voted one of England's most beautiful villages, in the Cotswolds of the South Mid region.

The village is famous for its honey-colored stone architecture and peaceful countryside. It has a population of about 4,000 but is always bustling with many community groups and local events.

Dubbed the "Venice of the Cotswolds", the village has many attractions, photo spots and shops, cafes, tea houses and restaurants to serve visitors.

Visitors can take a leisurely stroll along the River Windrush, which is crossed by five arched bridges. Starting 10 miles from the small village of Taddington, the Windrush meanders for 35 miles to Newbridge in Oxfordshire before emptying into the Thames.

According to Mr. Tinh, Bourton on the Water has many different appearances depending on the season and day of the week. On holidays and sunny weekends, this place is bustling with visitors. Therefore, if you want to take good photos and avoid the crowds, visitors should come early in the morning or late in the afternoon.

Pictured is a peaceful country lane in Castle Combre, a parish village in Wiltshire, 10 miles from Bath.

Castle Combe has many picturesque walks and has been featured frequently in British films. Famous films that have been filmed in the village include The Wolf Man, Stardust and Stephen Spielberg's War Horse.

The village dates back to the 12th century and is notable for its honey-coloured stone houses - typical Cotswold architecture.

St Andrew's Church is a popular attraction, dating back to the 13th century. It has a faceless clock, one of the oldest in England. You'll also find several pubs, luxury hotels and a golf course in the village.

Cakes and bouquets of flowers made by locals for sale are products that can be purchased to enjoy on the spot or as gifts.

The weather in England is constantly changing. It can be sunny and cloudy and often foggy. Luckily, the day he visited the village, the weather was sunny and he was able to take pictures of the golden autumn.

Autumn is in full bloom in Lower Slaughter, a village in Gloucestershire. Walking through Lower Slaughter feels like walking through a beautiful oil painting.

Lower Slaughter is built on the banks of the River Eye. The village's name comes from the Old English word "slough", meaning "wet land". The village also has a slow-flowing stream, crossed by two footbridges. This stream also leads to the twin village of Upper Slaughter.

Upper Slaughter, a twin village located right next to Lower Slaughter, is a must-visit destination for visitors who want to "hunt" for the golden autumn.

"Coming to England in the fall, you will understand the feeling of stepping into a fairy garden," said Mr. Tinh.
