On the afternoon of April 25, at the Presidential Palace, President Vo Van Thuong received Comrade Sinlavong Khoutphaythoune, Politburo member, Chairman of the Central Committee of the Lao Front for National Construction and the delegation who are on a working visit to Vietnam.

At the reception, President Vo Van Thuong expressed his belief that this visit will contribute to further deepening the great friendship, solidarity and comprehensive cooperation between Vietnam and Laos, while strongly promoting the cooperative relationship between the Vietnam Fatherland Front and the Lao Front for National Construction to be more cohesive and effective.
President Vo Van Thuong hopes that the Central Committee of the Lao Front for National Construction will continue to closely coordinate with the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front to effectively implement the cooperation agreements of the two agencies, thereby contributing to fostering the great friendship, special solidarity and comprehensive cooperation between Vietnam and Laos to develop more and more well and sustainably.
- On the afternoon of April 25, in Hanoi, comrade Do Van Chien, Chairman of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front and comrade Sinlavong Khoutphaythoune, Chairman of the Central Committee of the Lao Front for National Construction, chaired the talks between the two sides.
At the meeting, the two sides highly appreciated the cooperation results between the two Front organizations in recent times. In 2022, the two Front organizations successfully organized the 6th international conference on building a peaceful, friendly, cooperative and mutually developed Laos-Vietnam border in Savannakhet province (Laos).
The two sides signed a joint communiqué on the conference results and an emulation pact between the Fronts of the provinces sharing the border between Vietnam and Laos for the period 2022 - 2025.
