Hope that 'Journalists' Book Week' will become an annual activity

This activity was also organized to respond to the Ministry of Information and Communications' launch of Vietnam Book and Reading Culture Day. Thereby honoring books and encouraging and developing the reading movement among journalists in Ho Chi Minh City. At the same time, promoting the emulation movement "Building a cultural environment in press agencies and the culture of Vietnamese journalists".

I hope that the Journalists' Book Week will become an annual activity.

The Organizing Committee received and displayed nearly 300 book titles, including works from 7 press agencies, more than 100 reporters, former reporters, and 15 groups of authors who have worked and are working at newspapers across the country.

Also during this activity, the Organizing Committee coordinated with publishing units to organize 4 discussion forums with 11 journalists, including many authors who have won high awards from the city and central government...

Journalist Tran Trong Dung - Vice President of the Vietnam Journalists Association shared: To achieve the expected results and effects, the Program has received very positive support from many press agencies, journalists, former journalists in Ho Chi Minh City and across the country, and has been interested and welcomed by readers and tourists. The Organizing Committee would like to thank the leaders, agencies, Boards, and Sectors for their attention, direction, and support; thank the press agencies, reporters, and former reporters who have worked and are working at newspapers for actively participating, caring, and sending books to the Organizing Committee for display; and at the same time, donate these books for the Organizing Committee to give to the Library of the Vietnam Press Museum and the Faculty of Journalism, University of Social Sciences and Humanities, Ho Chi Minh City, to serve the reading, research, and teaching of people, students, lecturers about books and journalists...

The Organizing Committee also expressed its thanks to the Vietnam Record Organization and Vietnam Oil and Gas Technical Services Corporation for their active support; and thanked the associates and units who worked with the Organizing Committee to create a green, clean, beautiful and safe exhibition space throughout the week of activities.

The organizers hope that "Journalists' Book Week" will become an annual activity for journalists in the field of book publishing and believe that reporters will continue to accompany and actively participate in the future, especially on the occasion of the 100th anniversary of Vietnam Revolutionary Press Day (June 21, 1925 - June 21, 2025).
