Wiz's four founders include CEO Assaf Rappaport, CTO Ami Luttwak, VP of Product Yinon Costica, and VP of R&D Roy Reznik.

The company has agreed to be acquired by Google for $32 billion in cash. Wiz specializes in cloud-based cybersecurity solutions and works closely with Microsoft and Amazon.

According to Calcalistech , each of the Wiz founders owns an estimated 10% of the company. As Israeli citizens, they pay a 25% capital gains tax and a 3% stamp duty, which amounts to $640 million each. After taxes, each founder is expected to receive about $3.2 billion when the deal closes.

Wiz was founded in March 2020 and is valued at $12 billion in a 2024 funding round.

CEO Assaf Rappaport led R&D at Microsoft Israel after selling the company he founded, Adallom, to Microsoft for $320 million in 2015.

The other founders of Wiz have worked with Rappaport since his military days and also hold important positions at Adallom.

Investors benefiting from the deal include Cyberstarts (which owns a 5% stake), along with Sequoia Capital, Index Ventures, and Insight Partners.

If approved by regulators, it would be the largest deal in Google's history, surpassing its $12.5 billion acquisition of Motorola Mobility in 2012.
