On February 18, Binh Tan District Police (HCMC) are investigating a fire at a glue milling facility on Bo Bac Song Chua Street (Tan Tao Ward).
From afar, people saw black smoke coming from the fire.
According to initial information, at 2:00 p.m. on February 18, people saw a fire inside a glue grinding facility on Bo Bac Song Chua Street (alley 1686, old Provincial Road 10), Tan Tao Ward, Binh Tan District, Ho Chi Minh City.
The fire created a column of black smoke that covered the entire area.
Upon receiving the news, the Fire Prevention and Rescue Police Team of Binh Tan District Police dispatched many fire trucks and dozens of officers and soldiers to the scene. The electricity in the area was also cut off in a controlled manner to ensure safety.
Firefighters deployed firefighting plans from multiple directions. High-capacity pumps were also mobilized to pump water from nearby canals to aid in firefighting. Shortly after, the fire was brought under control by authorities, preventing it from spreading, minimizing damage to the business.
Authorities at the scene put out the fire.
The cause and damage of the fire are being investigated by the police.
According to local residents, the previous days, this glue mill was closed for Tet. Today (February 18), the glue mill opened for the new year, and the machines were running again when a fire broke out.
