On the morning of November 4, answering VTC News, a hydrometeorological expert said that around November 5-6, a cold air mass will move towards our country.

However, this is a weak cold spell so the temperature in the provinces and cities in the North will decrease slightly, and the weather will be chilly at night and in the morning.

Previously, according to the National Center for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting, in November 2023, cold air will continue to increase in frequency. However, the intensity of cold air waves is unlikely to be strong.

Compared to the average of many years, the temperature in November in the North, North and Central Central regions is forecast to be generally 1-2 degrees Celsius higher; in the South Central, Central Highlands and South regions it is generally 0.5-1 degrees Celsius higher.

In Hanoi, on November 6, the highest temperature dropped about 4 degrees Celsius compared to the previous day. Specifically, from the highest temperature of 33 degrees Celsius down to 29 degrees Celsius, the weather turned to thunderstorms. This temperature only lasted for about 2-3 days, then increased again.

Also according to the National Center for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting, on the night of November 5 and November 6, the North will experience scattered showers and thunderstorms after many sunny days with the highest temperature commonly above 30 degrees Celsius, with moderate to heavy rain in some mountainous areas.

The North and Central Central regions will also have rain, moderate rain, heavy rain and thunderstorms in some places for 3 days from November 6-8. The South Central Coast and Central Highlands will have scattered showers and thunderstorms from November 7-9, locally moderate rain, heavy rain, concentrated in the late afternoon and evening.

During November 7-12, the South will continue to have showers, scattered thunderstorms in the late afternoon and night, and locally heavy rain.

Given the above weather conditions, the meteorological agency warns that people need to be on guard against tornadoes, lightning, hail and strong winds during thunderstorms as well as flash floods on small rivers and streams, and landslides on steep slopes. Heavy rains may cause flooding in low-lying areas.
