Initially, the authorities identified the female driver of the Mercedes as NTTN (41 years old, residing in Thu Duc City).
At the same time, it was determined that female driver N. drove the car in the wrong lane (lane for motorbikes, no cars) and caused the accident.
Earlier, at 5 p.m. the same day, female driver N. drove a Mercedes on Vo Nguyen Giap Street, heading from Thu Duc City to Dong Nai Province. When the car reached the Thu Duc intersection, it slowed down due to a red light, but suddenly crashed into a series of motorbikes waiting ahead.
The car continued across the intersection, dragging a motorbike under it before stopping. According to witnesses, the female driver then got out of the car and burst into tears.
Several injured people were later taken to hospital for emergency treatment, including a girl who was seriously injured. Fortunately, many people suffered minor injuries.
