MEDIA24H: Shortening the gap between young people passionate about cinema and media - Lang Son Electronic Newspaper

MEDIA24H will create a space to experience film and media production activities, thereby finding young talents and potential projects, as well as helping young people learn how to make media in a kind and sustainable way.

MEDIA24H is a non-profit community activity, a connecting and creative playground for young people who love cinema and media, most of whom are students across the country.

Organized by Cinema World Magazine, IDECAF Institute for Cultural Exchange with France and TRIHD ASIA Variety Media Company, MEDIA24H officially returns with season 2 promising many breakthroughs.

According to the Organizing Committee, the purpose of MEDIA24H is to create a space to experience film and media production activities, thereby finding potential talents and projects, as well as helping young people learn how to do media in a decent and sustainable way. This is also a useful playground to transmit positive motivation to young people and a large number of participants; an event to help organizations, universities, and businesses connect with each other and with a large number of participants.

The program includes main parts:   MEDIA24H production race with the challenge of producing short films within 24 hours, along with communication activities, promoting the group's own media products to become a trend.

The teams will be randomly drawn for the plot of the film and a random location in Saigon. From the day of the drawing, you will have 3 days to write the script and pre-production and send it back to the program. The script will be approved and adjusted accordingly, from there you will start production according to the program's schedule.

The 24-hour production race will include mandatory tasks that the teams must perform, such as parallel to producing a short film, the teams will have to produce a short vertical video. The completed product will be sent to the Organizing Committee to be posted on the MEDIA24H Contest fanpage within the specified time...

The challenges will be commented and scored by the Jury, who are veterans with many prestigious awards in the field of cinema and media in Vietnam as well as internationally.

The award structure includes: Best film, most favorite short film, best director, best cinematography, best script, most impressive actor.

In addition, there will be a gala premiere and award ceremony with famous guests; sideline activities, such as the charity activity "Bright Eyes of Vietnam" (a free eye surgery program for patients in difficult circumstances and policy families, initiated by Military Hospital 175 since 2020).

After the launch of MEDIA24H, the Organizing Committee has selected 5 young, dynamic and enthusiastic teams to participate in the race, including: Son Team, The Rising Stars Team, Diamond Team, Fen with Béo ti phun Team and Z Production Team. All contestants are students with a special passion for media.

The premiere and award ceremony of MEDIA24H season 2 will take place on the evening of July 21, 2024 at IDECAF theater, 31 Thai Van Lung, Ben Nghe ward, District 1, HCMC.
