-   On September 7, the working delegation of the Provincial Party Standing Committee led by comrade Nguyen Quoc Doan, member of the Party Central Committee and Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, inspected the response to storm No. 3 in Loc Binh district.

The delegation included members of the Provincial Party Standing Committee; leaders of the Provincial People's Committee; leaders of the Provincial Fatherland Front Committee, the Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda Department, the Provincial Party Committee's Mass Mobilization Department, the Provincial Party Committee's Office; leaders of a number of departments, branches, sectors and armed forces in the province.

During the program, the Provincial Party Secretary and members of the working delegation inspected the response to storm No. 3 in the Na Cay lake area and Ban Lai reservoir.

According to the report of Loc Binh District People's Committee, Na Cay Lake is a level II reservoir project, put into use and exploited since 1967. The project has a capacity of about 5.5 million m3. Ban Lai Reservoir is a large reservoir project with a capacity of 156 million m3.

At this time, the water level at Na Cay Lake and Ban Lai Reservoir is at a safe level. However, due to the complicated developments of storm No. 3, after reviewing the downstream areas of the two lakes, Loc Binh district has organized the evacuation of more than 100 households living in the downstream areas of Na Cay Lake and Ban Lai Reservoir.

At the same time, the People's Committee of Loc Binh district has directed relevant agencies of the district, the authorities of Na Duong town, San Vien and Khuat Xa communes to coordinate with the management and exploitation units of Na Cay lake and Ban Lai reservoir to develop detailed plans to handle situations when storms and floods occur; organize on-duty assignments, regularly patrol and inspect the reservoir works to promptly detect damage and incidents of the reservoir works to have timely handling plans; proactively provide adequate supplies, means, equipment and necessities for storm and flood response work;...

After inspecting the two reservoirs, the Provincial Party Secretary highly appreciated the proactive response to storm No. 3 in these two areas of Loc Binh district.
