Man City actively discuss negotiations with Kovacic

According to journalist Fabrizio Romano, Man City have had positive discussions with Mateo Kovacic's representatives in recent days.

Man City are making strides in reaching an agreement over personal terms with Kovacic, ahead of completing the transfer.

Man City are still uncertain about Ilkay Gundogan. However, recruiting Kovacic remains a priority for the football department at Sportcity.

Kovacic has only one year left on his contract with Chelsea. The 29-year-old Croatian wants to leave because the Blues will not be able to participate in European competitions next season.

Chelsea are also ready to negotiate the sale of Kovacic to Man City. The London team is aiming to completely renew the midfield, with the main factor Enzo Fernandez.

Sources from Portugal said that MU is contacting Sporting Lisbon to discuss the transfer of young midfielder Manuel Ugarte.
