Ilkay Gundogan signs two-year deal with Barca
According to Relevo, the transfer of Man City captain Ilkay Gundogan to Barca is 99% complete.
The source added that Gundogan has completed the first part of his medical examination with Barca. He will undergo the final examination in Germany before signing a two-year contract with the option to extend for a further 12 months.
Gundogan's salary at Barca is 6 million Euro/season after tax.
Gundogan's side are said to be unconvinced by Man City's offer. Coach Pep Guardiola also seems to not want to keep the 32-year-old star, although he publicly stated that he wants Gundogan to continue to stick with the Etihad Stadium.
Captain Gundogan was a key part of Man City's recent treble-winning journey. According to the German midfielder, at the Etihad, he has achieved everything he dreamed of.
Perhaps this is the reason why Gundogan decided to seek a new challenge in his career.

Mateo Kovacic bid farewell to Chelsea
Man City will most likely part ways with captain Ilkay Gundogan after his contract expires in June 2023. In that context, coach Pep Guardiola has finalized a replacement for the German midfielder.
According to many reputable sources such as Sky Sport and The Athletic , the Champions League champions have agreed a transfer fee of 30 million pounds with Chelsea for Mateo Kovacic.
Man City will announce their first signing in the 2023 summer transfer market this week. Since Kovacic only has one year left on his contract with Chelsea, the fee Man City paid is cheaper than the Croatian star's real value.
Kovacic is the third player to leave Stamford Bridge this summer after Tiemoue Bakayoko and N'Golo Kante. In the near future, Chelsea may say goodbye to two other stars, Kalidou Koulibaly and Edouard Mendy.
Centre-back Koulibaly has agreed a deal to join Saudi Arabian club Al Ahli for a fee of €20m. This fee is lower than the €38m Chelsea spent to recruit the Senegalese star from Napoli last summer.
Similarly, goalkeeper Edouard Mendy suddenly left Chelsea to join Al Ahli on a 3-year contract.
Mendy was once a key player for the Blues but injury saw him lose his place to Kepa Arrizabalaga last season. He started just 12 games in all competitions for Chelsea.

Arsenal signs Kai Havertz on 3-year deal
According to Fabrizio Romano and Athletic , Arsenal have completed the purchase of Kai Havertz from Chelsea.
Specifically, the Gunners will pay their London rivals a fee of £60 million plus £5 million in add-ons.
Arsenal had earlier agreed personal terms with the German international, who had made it clear to Chelsea that he wanted to join Mikel Arteta's team.
Kai Havertz will undergo a medical this weekend before signing a long-term contract with Arsenal, ending a three-year spell with the Blues that included a memorable Champions League title in which he scored the only goal in the 2021 final against Man City.
