Mr. Lai Xuan Thanh retired from his position as prescribed from September 1. ACV has not announced his replacement.

Previously, ACV's Board of Directors consisted of 7 members. After Mr. Thanh left the position of chairman, the remaining members include Mr. Vu The Phiet, Mr. Dao Viet Dung, Ms. Le Thi Dieu Thuy, Mr. Le Van Khien, Ms. Nguyen Thi Hong Phuong and Mr. Nguyen Ngoc Quy.

Mr. Thanh was born in 1963 and has a Master's degree in State Management. In June 2017, Mr. Thanh was transferred and appointed by the Ministry of Transport as Chairman of ACV (when he was holding the position of Director of the Civil Aviation Authority of Vietnam).

During Mr. Lai Xuan Thanh's term, ACV was assigned as the investor of the Long Thanh International Airport project. He has repeatedly expressed his determination for this mega project.

After much effort, the Long Thanh International Airport project officially started construction in January 2021 and is expected to welcome the first commercial flight on September 2, 2026.

ACV is managing and operating 22 domestic airports with charter capital of more than VND 21,771 billion and total assets of more than VND 69,802 billion.

In the first half of this year, the number of international flights to Vietnam recovered strongly, with about 54.7 million passengers passing through ACV airports. Of which, foreign passengers reached nearly 20.3 million, up 40% over the same period. The number of take-offs and landings of international flights also increased by more than 27%, to over 126,700 flights.

Thanks to that, in the first half of the year, ACV achieved consolidated revenue of more than VND11,200 billion, an increase of nearly 16% over the same period last year. This enterprise's after-tax profit increased by nearly 45%, to more than VND4,240 billion.
