It was recorded that on August 30 and 31, the number of passengers flocking to the city center bus station and Da Nang train station increased sharply compared to normal days.

According to Mr. Doan Kim Tuan, Head of the Passenger Transport Team, Da Nang Railway Transport Branch, on August 30, the total number of arriving and departing passengers was about 6,000 people, and by August 31, it had increased to more than 7,000 people. The number of passengers on this occasion increased 2.5 times compared to normal days and 20-30% compared to the same period in previous years.

Part of the reason comes from the fact that this year the city has had heritage trains attracting people and tourists to experience the scenic spots of Da Nang and neighboring provinces and cities, thereby boosting train and bus ticket sales during the National Day on September 2.

To serve the people and tourists with the best service experience, the unit has increased 100% of its human resources during the 3-day holiday; coordinated with competent authorities to ensure that no security, order, or fire prevention issues occur.

At the same time, the unit has prepared backup plans for overload cases before, during and after the holiday.

At this time, at the city center bus station, there are about 18,000-20,000 people coming and going every day. The number of visitors to the city is mainly domestic tourists.

Mr. Le Cong Chinh, Deputy Head of the Dispatch Department, Da Nang Bus Station Management and Transport Joint Stock Company, said that during this year's holiday, there were 500-600 buses departing the station each day, the number of passengers increased by 30-40% compared to the same period last year. The number of passengers increased the most on the northern routes from Quang Tri to Nghe An.

On this occasion, the city's Central Bus Station also implemented many plans such as: ensuring personnel; preparing additional vehicles, coordinating with passenger transport units to plan mobilization and reserve vehicles for missions; ensuring security, order, and fire prevention and fighting safety.

Passengers still have places to sit and wait for the bus.

At this time, the quality of customer service at bus stations and train stations is still guaranteed to avoid "overload" situations.

Mr. Le Xuan Quan (Hoa Hiep Nam ward, Lien Chieu district) said that passengers arriving at the bus station still have enough seats to wait, there is no jostling, pushing or sitting in the hallways or aisles.

The bus fare for the September 2nd holiday only increased by about 10-20% compared to normal days. In addition, passengers do not have to "lie in the queue" because bus companies have proactively increased enough routes to meet travel needs.

Ms. Nguyen Thi Hoang (Phuoc My ward, Son Tra district) shared that although there were many people arriving at Da Nang station, she and other passengers were still arranged seats by the staff and guided to get tickets in time to change trains.
