From the United Nations Peacekeeping Missions in the Abyei region, South Sudan and the Central African Republic, Vietnamese forces participating in peacekeeping operations expressed their deepest condolences over the passing of General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong.
On the morning of July 25, the Vietnam Engineering Team and Level 2 Field Hospital No. 5, who are on duty in Abyei and South Sudan (Africa), flew flags at half-mast, set up an altar, and organized for officers, soldiers, and international delegations to visit, express condolences, and pay tribute to General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong.

The life and revolutionary career of the General Secretary is a shining example of courage, revolutionary enthusiasm, and pure morality, respected not only by compatriots and soldiers nationwide but also by many leaders and people around the world.
“Turning grief into concrete and practical actions, during the performance of their duties at the Mission, officers and employees of the Vietnam Engineer Corps will uphold their determination, overcome all difficulties, ensure absolute safety, thoroughly grasp and strictly implement the Party and State's diplomatic viewpoints and policies; and have good relations with international friends.
The Vietnam Engineering Corps will support the government and people in the area to improve living conditions; excellently complete all tasks, contributing to further enhancing the glorious tradition of the Vietnam People's Army; contributing to enhancing the image and position of the country and Vietnamese people in the international arena, worthy of the General Secretary's trust and love for Uncle Ho's soldiers," Major Nguyen Mau Vu shared.
