Attending the meeting were Party Central Committee member, Vice President - General Secretary of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Nguyen Thi Thu Ha, Chairwoman of the Final Round Council, journalist Nguyen Duc Loi, Permanent Vice President of the Vietnam Journalists Association, and members of the Final Round Council.
The fourth National Press Award for Anti-Corruption and Negativity, 2022 - 2023, jointly organized by the Standing Committee of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, the Vietnam Journalists Association, and Vietnam Television, was launched from November 13, 2021 to August 31, 2023.

As of August 31, 2023, the Organizing Committee of the Award has received 1,078 valid entries in 4 categories: print, electronic, radio, and television from over 100 central and local press agencies.
Mr. Vu Van Tien, Head of the Propaganda Department of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, Vice Chairman of the Preliminary Council, said that through organizing independent scoring and 2 review and evaluation meetings, the Preliminary Council selected 103 works of 4 genres: print, electronic, television, and radio for the final round to be ranked by the Final Council: Special, A, B, C, and Encouragement.
According to the assessment of the Preliminary Council, the works participating in this year's award were all invested in by the authors, with quite rich and vivid topics, reflecting the determination of the Party, State, Vietnam Fatherland Front, the involvement of functional agencies, the response and active participation of all classes of people in the fight against corruption, negativity and waste from the Central to local levels.
The content and topics reflect the practical issues arising in social life, the work of preventing and combating corruption and waste, and hidden corners that need to be commented on, criticized, and oriented, and are of interest to public opinion, the National Assembly, and the people.

Many good works, suggestions, good and effective solutions and ideas have been proposed to contribute to the improvement of policies and laws on preventing corruption, negativity, waste and the organization of implementation...
Speaking at the meeting, Vice President - General Secretary of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Nguyen Thi Thu Ha affirmed that, after 4 times of organization, the National Press Award for preventing and combating corruption and negativity has created a strong influence and increasingly received the attention and appreciation of Party and State leaders; the response and participation of a large number of press agencies, reporters, journalists and people of all walks of life.
Vice President - General Secretary Nguyen Thi Thu Ha suggested that from the 103 works selected for the Final Round, the members of the Council need to closely follow the criteria in the Award's rules to select the best and most excellent works, which are works of good quality, elaborate discovery, closely following the theme and highly orienting public opinion, having a positive impact in serving the fight against corruption and negativity.
Vice President - General Secretary Nguyen Thi Thu Ha hopes that on the basis of the regulations, rules of the Award, structure, quantity and quality of works, the members of the Final Jury will promote a sense of responsibility, impartiality and objectivity to complete the time to judge the works according to the set schedule.
It is expected that the Award Ceremony will be held at the Vietnam - Soviet Union Friendship Cultural Palace (Hanoi) in early November 2023, on the occasion of the 93rd anniversary of the founding of the Vietnam National United Front - Traditional Day of the Vietnam Fatherland Front (November 18, 1930 - November 18, 2023).
