Long An: Nearly 7,700 people have not updated their citizen identification to social insurance and health insurance

To ensure the rights of participants, to promptly issue social insurance books and electronic health insurance cards, Long An Provincial Social Insurance announces the update of CCCD numbers and personal identification numbers.

On March 27, according to information from Long An Provincial Social Insurance, the Provincial Social Insurance issued a notice requesting units, organizations and participants of social insurance and health insurance to urgently update their ID card and citizen identification numbers before April 30, 2025.

This update is to implement Decision No. 06/QD-TTg, dated January 6, 2022 of the Prime Minister on approving the Project on developing population data applications, electronic identification and authentication to serve national digital transformation in the period 2022 - 2025, with a vision to 2030.

Since 2022, the provincial Social Insurance has deployed and provided guidance on procedures, documents, and methods for updating the ID card number and the social insurance and health insurance registration file. However, up to now, there are still 7,670 social insurance and health insurance participants who have not updated their ID card number and the social insurance sector data. This has caused difficulties in the process of processing documents and policies.

To ensure the rights of participants, and to promptly issue social insurance books and electronic health insurance cards, the provincial Social Insurance Agency notifies units and organizations to review the list of employees participating in social insurance and health insurance, create electronic records (attach images of the revised CCCD card/notification of the employee identification number) and send them to the managing social insurance agency to update the ID card and employee identification number, to be completed no later than April 30, 2025.

In addition, when all types of records arise to report increases, decreases, and adjustments to participation in social insurance, health insurance, unemployment insurance, occupational accident and disease insurance for employees, the unit must fully update the information on the CCCD and DDCN numbers upon request.

In case the CCCD number and the representative number have not been updated, affecting the time to process the application for increasing, decreasing, adjusting, granting the value of using the health insurance card and confirming the payment process, issuing separate sheets of the social insurance book,... leading to affecting the social insurance and health insurance benefits, the unit and the participant are fully responsible.

To ensure benefits, the provincial Social Insurance recommends that employees proactively check and coordinate with management units to update information promptly./.
