Compared to the end of last week, each tael of gold bar increased by 4 million VND in buying and 3.3 million VND in selling. The buying price increased faster, so the difference between buying and selling prices decreased from 3 million VND to 2.3 million VND/tael. Although gold bars set a new record, those who bought the previous week's peak at 100.4 million VND are still losing 2 million VND per tael.

Gold rings on the market also increased from 2.7 - 3.4 million VND/tael such as Phu Nhuan Jewelry Company bought for 98.4 million VND, sold for 100.7 million VND; Doji Company bought gold rings for 98.4 million VND, sold for 100.7 million VND. Currently, the highest price of gold rings is at Bao Tin Minh Chau Company when buying for 98.9 million VND, selling for 100.9 million VND - equal to the record price of this company last week.
The world gold price has set a new record when it reached 3,085.7 USD/ounce, 60 USD higher than last weekend. The upward trend of gold prices is expected to continue. In a Kitco News survey of 18 Wall Street analysts, 15 people, or 85%, said that gold will increase. On the contrary, only 1 person, or 5%, said that the precious metal will decrease and 2 people, or 10%, predicted that gold prices will remain unchanged.
Similarly, in a Main Street survey of 202 individual investors, 129 people, or 64%, predicted gold prices would rise, while 39 people, or 19%, thought gold would fall and the remaining 34 investors said the precious metal would move sideways./.
