Lagerstroemia calls summer

April is coming, the golden sunshine like honey pours down on the street . The early summer sunshine is not yet hot and sultry, light as if dreaming a fairy tale dream. In the middle of that changing season picture, the purple Lagerstroemia flowers cover the whole road and street corner. The beautiful Lagerstroemia flowers make many people sob, immersed in the deep and lyrical changing season space.

When mentioning summer, people often think of royal poinciana, a flower that burns like a fire that brightens up school days. But the Lagerstroemia is different. Not brilliant, not bustling, the Lagerstroemia carries the purple color of quiet feelings, of gentle but lingering emotions. If royal poinciana is the vibrant song of brilliant days, then the Lagerstroemia is the whisper of nostalgia, the glance that gently passes by someone on a windy afternoon, the fragile emotion that cannot be named when summer passes by the street.

I love the Lagerstroemia, not only because of its faithful purple color but also because of the way it silently adds to the poetic beauty of summer. The fragile flower clusters like butterfly wings, gently swaying in the light breeze, exuding the faint scent of childhood. The old Lagerstroemia trees in front of the school gate or on the stone benches are the “witnesses” of countless memories. Childhood games, clear laughter and even tears of resentment. Every summer afternoon, we gather under the Lagerstroemia canopy, playing hopscotch, jumping rope or simply sitting and chatting endlessly. When the petals begin to fall like a purple carpet under our feet, we pick them up, press them into our notebooks, and keep a little bit of summer for ourselves.

Then we grew up, leaving the familiar Lagerstroemia trees. Each of us went our separate ways, carrying with us the worries of life. But every time summer comes, encountering that familiar purple color, my heart is filled with emotions that are hard to name. I miss my old friends, I miss the innocent days in the school yard. Flipping through the pages of old notebooks, the dried Lagerstroemia flowers still lie there as if preserving a whole sky of memories. The naive lines in the diary, the foolish dreams of the past, all are kept by the Lagerstroemia, intact like those summer days.

Someone once said that each blooming season is a reminder of the past. Lagerstroemia, with its gentle purple color, always evokes a vague sadness. Not too heavy, not too tragic, just a little deep in the soul enough to slow down in the midst of the hurried days. I also had a Lagerstroemia season that passed with a young first love. We used to walk together, quietly under the purple Lagerstroemia canopies. But then, like those fragile petals, that feeling gradually faded with the student years. One day, in the middle of the crowded streets, I suddenly realized that person had entered the memories of time.

Every summer, the purple Lagerstroemia still blooms on the roads and street corners. Even if someone accidentally passes by, not paying attention to those fragile flower clusters, the Lagerstroemia still blooms, as an obvious fact of time. Maybe, one day, after going through the most hurried months, we will suddenly stop in front of a purple Lagerstroemia canopy, suddenly realizing that there have been so many beautiful summers passing through our lives. And at that moment, we will smile, because even if the Lagerstroemia falls, that purple color will forever remain in our hearts./.
