Disgruntled because of suspicion that students' food rations were reduced?

During the investigation, police determined that Thi was a contract employee of the school, cooking for boarding students.

Thi confessed that due to dissatisfaction with the school's choice of a food supplier that did not ensure quality and suspicion of collusion in reducing students' food rations, Thi came up with the idea of adding pesticides and insecticides to the food.

The purpose of the test is to make sure that if students get food poisoning after eating, the school will have to change to another food supplier.

On September 13, Thi went to a pesticide dealer to buy 2 packs of cockroach and ant killer and 1 bottle of insecticide.

During the process of dividing food portions, due to detecting the smell of pesticides in the boiled chayote dish, the kitchen manager reported to the school board to report to the police.

At noon that same day, after returning home, Thi remembered that she had left a half-used bottle of pesticide and a package of unused cockroach and ant killer at school, so she went to get them, brought them home, and burned the bottle of pesticide to destroy the evidence.

The package of ant and cockroach killer Thi hung in the family's bird cage was discovered and confiscated by the police.

Kitchen staff put pesticides in students' food.

According to authorities, Ha Thi Thi is the wife of the former principal of Chu Van Thinh High School. Her husband has now moved to become the vice principal of another school in Mai Son district.

When her husband was still the principal, Ms. Thi was assigned to be in charge of the canteen at Chu Van Thinh High School and was given the choice of a food supplier. However, when Chu Van Thinh High School had a new principal, Ms. Thi was not assigned to be in charge of the canteen and the school did not import food from the old supplier.

It is known that Chu Van Thinh High School has over 1,200 students, of which more than 400 are boarding students.
