(Dan Tri) - In the series of new cars expected to be launched in October, there are 2 products in the C-class SUV segment.
Not as explosive as September with more than 10 completely new products introduced, the Vietnamese automobile market in October is somewhat calmer with only 3 models expected to be launched. The general trend is still focusing on high-chassis vehicles, but all 3 models about to be unveiled are just upgraded versions.

Sales consultants said that the 3 gasoline versions of the 2023 Honda CR-V still use the 1.5L turbocharged engine, with a CVT gearbox as before, but there will be 1 version equipped with 4-wheel drive (AWD) like the HEV variant.
If imported from Thailand, the CR-V HEV for the Vietnamese market will likely have a powertrain consisting of a 2.0L naturally aspirated engine, combined with 2 electric motors and an E-CVT gearbox, for a total capacity of 204 horsepower and maximum torque of 335Nm.
According to Honda Thailand's announcement, the hybrid variant of the CR-V only consumes an average of 4.8 liters of gasoline per 100km (Photo: Honda Thailand).
In Thailand, the 2023 Honda CR-V has LED lights, 18-inch alloy wheels on the regular versions, the HEV variant has the RS sports package and 19-inch wheels. The car's interior has a 10.2-inch digital clock cluster, a 9-inch entertainment screen with wireless Apple CarPlay/Android Auto connectivity.

The expected price of the 2023 Honda CR-V has not been revealed but is likely to increase sharply, according to experts' predictions.
The current version is priced from 998 million VND to 1.118 billion VND, much higher than competitors in the same C-SUV segment such as Mazda CX-5 (749-999 million VND) or Hyundai Tucson (845 million-1.06 billion VND).
MG HS 2023
Delayed many times this year, MG HS 2023 is likely to be launched in Vietnam in October, according to a sales consultant. This information has not been confirmed by MG Vietnam, but at the end of July, this model was spotted at a Vietnamese port, believed to be in the Hai Phong area.

The biggest change in MG HS 2023 is the switch from importing from China to Thailand, promising a better selling price than the old model, because cars originating from this market are exempt from import tax to Vietnam.
The sales consultant said that the car will be sold in 2 versions, Trophy and Sport, with expected prices of 750 million VND and 900 million VND respectively. This price is low in the C-class SUV segment, but will still face competitive pressure from the Mazda CX-5 (749-999 million VND).

The vehicle's equipment details have not been revealed. In Thailand, the high-end version of the HS 2023 has front/rear LED lights, 18-inch alloy wheels, a 12-inch digital instrument cluster behind the steering wheel, a 10-inch entertainment screen with Apple CarPlay/Android Auto connectivity and a Bose speaker system.
Other amenities include: automatic air conditioning with PM 2.5 dust filter, electric front seats, electronic handbrake with automatic brake hold, panoramic sunroof, interior decorative lighting.

In terms of performance, the MG HS 2023 in Thailand has 2 engine options. The first is a 1.5L turbocharged gasoline engine, combined with a 7-speed automatic transmission, producing a maximum capacity of 162 horsepower and maximum torque of 249Nm.
The second is a hybrid powertrain consisting of the same turbocharged engine combined with a 122-horsepower electric motor and a 10-speed automatic transmission. This configuration produces a total output of 284 horsepower and 480Nm.
The included battery pack is a 16.6kW lithium-ion type, providing an operating range of up to 67km in pure electric mode, according to the manufacturer's announcement.
