Liverpool consider buying centre-back Goncalo Inacio
Liverpool are said to have joined the race to sign Goncalo Inacio, the young centre-back that Manchester United are keen on as a replacement for Harry Maguire.
Liverpool's defense has been ineffective this season as center-back Virgil van Dijk's form has declined.
This forces coach Jurgen Klopp to add new faces to help Liverpool compete for the Premier League title.
Goncalo Inacio is a modern-day centre-back. The young Portuguese has attracted the attention of scouts across Europe.
According to sources in Portugal, Liverpool are considering exercising Goncalo Inacio's contract termination clause with Sporting Lisbon at 60 million Euros.

MU needs to add defensive personnel
Sources from France said that MU is contacting PSG to discuss the transfer plan for defender Nordi Mukiele in January 2024.
Mukiele was contacted by MU last year but the French player chose to join PSG after leaving RB Leipzig.
His journey in Paris has not been as Mukiele had hoped. This season, he has been completely out of coach Luis Enrique's plans with just 1 minute in Ligue 1.
Coach Erik ten Hag needs to add personnel to the MU defense. Mukiele's versatility is highly appreciated by him, as he can play right-back and center-back.
MU is likely to find a loan deal for Mukiele in January 2024. The 25-year-old player also wants to leave the Parc des Princes to play regularly, in order to compete for a place in the French squad for EURO 2024.

Inter Miami confirms Messi has not arrived in Barcelona
Inter Miami's chances of reaching the MLS playoffs were dashed after a loss to Cincinnati on Saturday night, meaning Messi and his teammates will miss out on the postseason, as they sit 14th out of 15 teams in the Eastern Conference.
With the MLS season ending later this month, there has been talk that Messi could return to Europe on loan to maintain his fitness. Barcelona have been touted as a potential destination, but Miami coach Martino has dismissed the rumours.
However, any chance of a move to Barcelona will have to wait until January next year when the European winter transfer window opens.
Messi joined Barcelona at the age of 13 and became a legend of the club, scoring 474 goals in 520 matches in all competitions for Barcelona.
Playing for the Catalan club, Messi won 10 La Liga titles, 7 Copa del Rey and Spanish Super Cups, 4 Champions League titles, 2 UEFA Super Cups and 3 FIFA Club World Cups.
Messi has been in impressive form since signing for Inter Miami, scoring 11 goals in 13 games. Unfortunately, Messi's rise has not been enough to help Inter Miami reap success.
