According to the provisions of Decision 166/QD-BHXH in 2019 of Vietnam Social Security, the monthly pension and insurance benefit payment schedule is from the 2nd to the 25th of the month.
Specifically, payment at the payment point from the 2nd to the 10th of the month is organized for at least 6 hours/day at all payment points; payment will only end before the 10th for points that have paid all beneficiaries according to the list sent by the Social Insurance agency.
Payment at the District Post Office transaction point from the 11th of the month, continue to pay at the post office transaction points until the 25th of the month.
Based on the above regulations, the monthly pension payment schedule in 2024, coming up in March, will start from the 2nd of each month. However, the specific monthly pension and insurance benefit payment schedule in each locality in 2024 will be decided by the provincial Social Insurance agency.
In Hanoi , Hanoi Social Insurance said that on average, each month, authorities pay pensions and monthly allowances to more than 580,000 people.
The total accumulated amount paid in the 11 months of 2023 is 35,604 billion VND, of which the amount paid from the state budget is 7,689 billion VND; the amount paid from the Social Insurance Fund is 27,915 billion VND.
In Ho Chi Minh City , the City Social Insurance said that Decision No. 166/QD-BHXH stipulates that monthly pension and social insurance benefits payments start from the 2nd day of the month of payment. However, because March 2 falls on a Saturday and some banks are closed, the payment schedule has been adjusted.
Cash pensioners will be paid from March 2 to 25. For cash recipients, the payment period starts from March 2 to 25.
In addition, for non-cash payment, Ho Chi Minh City Post Office will transfer money to the beneficiary's account on March 2.
For beneficiaries with pension accounts at banks, including: Vietnam Bank for Agriculture and Rural Development (Agribank), Vietnam Joint Stock Commercial Bank for Investment and Development (BIDV), Asia Commercial Joint Stock Bank (ACB), Vietnam Joint Stock Commercial Bank for Industry and Trade (VietinBank), Ho Chi Minh City Post Office will transfer money to the beneficiary's account on March 4 (Monday), because these banks do not work on Saturday.
