On November 13, the Long An Provincial Delegation led by Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the Long An Provincial People's Council Nguyen Van Duoc arrived in Paris, France, to begin a trip to promote investment and trade in Europe.
Immediately after arriving in France, the delegation had a working session with the Chairman of Soletanche Freyssinet Group - one of the world's leading corporations in cable-stayed structure technology and transport infrastructure, civil and industrial construction.
Mr. Manuel Peltier, Chairman of Soletanche Freyssinet Group, introduced that the group has more than 80 years of history in the field of infrastructure construction, with more than 10,000 projects per year globally.

In Vietnam, Soletanche Freyssinet has been operating since 2003 and has participated in many major projects such as Keangnam Landmark Tower, Indochina Plaza Hanoi, Hai Van Tunnel, My Thuan 2 Bridge and Thu Thiem 2 Bridge (Ba Son Bridge). The group's leaders expressed their desire to continue researching and seeking opportunities for cooperation in investing in transport infrastructure in Long An province.
Responding to the group's proposal, Vice Chairman of Long An Provincial People's Committee, Mr. Huynh Van Son, highly appreciated the capacity and technology of Soletanche Freyssinet, which has been proven through projects in Vietnam. Mr. Huynh Van Son affirmed that transport infrastructure is the driving force for the economy, Long An prioritizes allocating resources to large transport projects, especially in industrial areas to attract investment and develop the economy.
In recent times, Long An has focused on implementing and completing ahead of schedule key national traffic projects and regional connectivity projects such as Tan An City Ring Road, Provincial Roads 823D, 830E and 827E. In particular, Route 827E is identified as the driving axis connecting Ho Chi Minh City - Long An - Tien Giang and the locality is completing procedures to phase in investment in the approach road and three bridges across the Can Giuoc, Vam Co Dong and Vam Co Tay rivers.
The three-bridge project on Route 827E has been approved by the Government to use ODA loans with a total investment of about VND4,797 billion. With its scale and high technical requirements, this project is suitable for the capacity of pioneering construction technology corporations such as Soletanche Freyssinet.
Cooperating with experienced partners will help ensure project progress and quality and promote the application of advanced technology, contributing to upgrading transport infrastructure, creating momentum for economic development and enhancing regional connectivity. These projects, when completed, will not only ensure economic efficiency but also contribute to creating iconic transport works, shaping a distinct image for the province.
After the working session at Soletanche Freyssinet headquarters, the Long An delegation visited the Metro Grand Paris Express project, one of the largest transport infrastructure projects in France, with the package implemented by Soletanche Freyssinet. The delegation learned in detail about the scale, operation method and advanced technologies of the project, thereby learning experience in the management, investment and construction of transport projects in the province.
According to the schedule, tomorrow, the delegation will attend the Vietnam - France Trade and Investment Seminar with the participation of many French enterprises and investors interested in Vietnam. In addition, the delegation will meet with diplomatic agencies and business organizations of France and Vietnam.
Implementing the 2024 investment promotion program, Long An province organized a working delegation led by Provincial Party Secretary Nguyen Van Duoc to participate in trade and investment promotion activities in France, Belgium and Germany from November 11 to November 21, at the invitation of the Vietnam Federation of Commerce and Industry (VCCI).
