The first is seeing dust and smoke. Polluted air often has a lot of dust and smoke, reducing visibility. People can clearly see dust particles floating in the air, especially on sunny days.

The second is seeing the color of the air. Polluted air often appears gray or murky yellow, instead of the clear blue of clean air.

Third is the smell of something strange. Some pollutants have a distinctive smell, such as the smell of smoke from factories or chemicals. The smell of sulfur is like rotten duck eggs.

The fourth is seeing fog in the afternoon, called photochemical smog. This is a type of fog created by a chemical reaction between pollutants and sunlight. Photochemical smog is yellow or brown in color.

Unless necessary, avoid going out during rush hours or when air quality is poor. Rush hour is in the morning from 7am to 9am when traffic is at its busiest, especially in big cities.

Vehicle emissions are one of the major causes of air pollution.

Afternoon from 4pm to 7pm is rush hour, the amount of traffic on the road is very large, causing serious air pollution.

Monitor the Air Quality Index (AQI) on media information. When the AQI is at a warning level, usually above 100, people should limit going outside, especially children, the elderly and people with chronic diseases.

Remember to wear a mask to protect your respiratory tract from dust particles and pollutants. Clean your house and regularly clean your house to remove dust and pollutants.

Planting trees absorbs pollutants and produces oxygen, helping to improve air quality. Limit the use of personal vehicles, and use public transportation.
