On October 16, Lam Dong Provincial People's Committee issued Document No. 9020/UBND-KH directing provincial departments, branches and sectors and People's Committees of districts, Da Lat City and Bao Loc City, according to their assigned functions and tasks, to proactively research and implement the contents under the direction of the Deputy Prime Minister.
In particular, focusing on implementing well the contents of connecting internal and inter-regional traffic; attracting and promoting investment; agricultural production in chains outside the boundaries of each locality; developing cultural tourism, community tourism, eco-tourism, etc.
Quickly and effectively deploy national target programs in the province; ensure that beneficiaries soon enjoy policies of the programs according to regulations, while preventing and stopping corruption and waste.
Lam Dong Provincial People's Committee directed units to pay attention to implementing ethnic and religious work well. Especially creating sustainable livelihoods for ethnic minorities and spontaneous migrants; developing a team of ethnic minority cadres and cadres working in ethnic affairs with qualifications and capacity; preserving the culture of ethnic groups in the Central Highlands; promoting digital transformation.
The Provincial People's Committee assigned the Department of Planning and Investment to preside over and coordinate with the Department of Transport and related departments, branches and localities to closely follow the Ministry of Planning and Investment to soon propose to competent authorities to consider and apply a special mechanism to invest in renovating and upgrading National Highway 27, first of all the section connecting Lam Dong and Ninh Thuan.
Previously, at the first conference of the Central Highlands Coordination Council, Deputy Prime Minister Tran Luu Quang chaired and concluded: The Central Highlands is still basically a poor region but has room for development in terms of land, minerals, forest and water resources, and unique traditional cultural values.
Recently, the Central Highlands has received attention from the Central Government for investment focusing on the intra-regional and inter-regional transport system.
To contribute to creating a breakthrough for the Central Highlands, the Deputy Prime Minister suggested that the Council should focus on proposing initiatives to implement coordination, linkage, and cooperation to remove common difficulties, attract investment, mobilize and use resources for harmonious and sustainable development.
The Council must develop a roadmap to implement the Resolutions of the Politburo, the National Assembly, and the Government related to the development of the Central Highlands in a practical, feasible, effective, focused, and key manner following the motto "slow but sure" with the goal of building a peaceful and developed Central Highlands, in which the two factors of peace and development have a very close interrelationship.
In 2023, regional and provincial planning must be completed, because this is an important basis for cooperation and development linkage of localities in the region.
In the development, appraisal and promulgation of provincial and regional planning, there needs to be coordination between localities in the region and relevant agencies to determine priority routes, especially in the fields of transportation and forest resource use.
