Authorities took 3 electrocuted workers to the emergency room.

According to initial information, at about 15:00 on the same day, a group of workers brought a drilling rig and geological drilling equipment to the middle of a rice field in Lien Phu village (Thach Trung commune, Ha Tinh city) to conduct geological exploration drilling.

About 30 minutes later, people in Lien Phu village heard a loud explosion coming from the field where the workers were setting up the drilling rig. When they arrived, they discovered a large fire under the 22KV medium voltage power line, with three men lying motionless in the field next to it.

Suspecting this was an electric shock due to a violation of safety distance, people quickly reported it to local authorities and functional forces.

Immediately after receiving the news, the rescue force of Ha Tinh province coordinated with Ha Tinh Electricity Company and related units to organize a rescue plan and take 3 victims to the emergency room. However, 1 person died, the remaining 2 were severely burned.

The leader of Ha Tinh Province Electricity Company confirmed: "This is a group of workers performing geological exploration drilling tasks, but we do not know which unit invited them. During the construction process under the 22 KV medium voltage power line, because they did not report to the electricity company and violated the safety distance, they were electrocuted. We are currently coordinating with the investigation agency to clarify the cause and determine the responsibility of those involved."

According to the leader of Ha Tinh Province Electricity Company, the medium voltage power line where the discharge occurred, causing the electrocution of 3 workers, is under the management of Thach Ha District Electricity Company (Ha Tinh).
