The name “Mr. Huong Farm Stay” is now no longer strange to tourists in the province, especially the young. This is the passion of the young man born in the 90s, Nguyen Ha Dong, and his “gen Z” colleagues.

Mr. Huong Farm Stay, Nhuan Thach village, Dong Tien commune (Dong Son) is a new destination that has been put into operation, serving tourists since the beginning of 2022. The destination quickly attracted the attention of many tourists because of its green, peaceful space and only about 15 minutes away from the center of Thanh Hoa city.
It is known that the "owner" of Ong Huong Farm Stay is the young man Nguyen Ha Dong (born in 1995). In 2019, Ha Dong graduated from the Vietnamese Studies - Tourism major at Hong Duc University. Being agile and active, Ha Dong has participated in tourism activities since he was a student. In 2017, Nguyen Ha Dong, together with Doan Huu Ngo (born in 1990) and a number of other young people, founded DNS Media and is the predecessor of Dong Son Event and Travel Joint Stock Company (Dong Son Event & Travel - specializing in organizing events and tourism). By 2020, due to the outbreak of the COVID-19 epidemic, all activities were slowed down, the team members discussed with each other to build a destination for brothers to gather and freely create art...
Said and done, after a short time of planning, Ha Dong and Huu Ngo came up with the idea, along with the contribution of some team members, decided to "start a business" on the land of Ha Dong's parents. One of the advantages of the young people is that the land area in the countryside is more than 10,000m2, with an orchard over 30 years old... In particular, the traffic connection from the center of Thanh Hoa city to here is extremely convenient. However, the biggest difficulty for Ha Dong and the young people at that time was the investment capital. With the support of his family, Ha Dong initially mortgaged his property to borrow 900 million VND from the bank. "At a time when the epidemic was complicated and the economy was difficult, many people thought this was too reckless a decision, even many people in the village said I was crazy..." - Ha Dong said.
Serious, dedicated to work, plus the strong support of some young people in the Dong Son Event & Travel team, after a short time, the idea of a farm destination quickly became a reality. On January 17, 2022, Mr. Huong Farm Stay completed phase 1 and started welcoming trial guests. With main functional areas such as: dining area, experience, check-in... providing visitors with a green space, close to nature, meeting the trend of on-site tourism "staycation" (traveling near where you live) at the time tourism reopens after COVID-19.
Sharing about this, Ha Dong said: “For about 2 months after opening to welcome guests, the number of visitors to the farm was always overloaded. Partly due to the trend of safe tourism at that time, on the other hand, my friends and I especially focused on promoting communication on social networking sites, attracting a large number of tourists, especially young people. With the advantage of being a member of a specialized event organization unit, the farm always received active support from members of the Dong Son Event & Travel team. Initially, to promote the farm, we focused on building videos with the theme "Mr. Huong Farm", revolving around the daily stories of Mr. Huong and Ms. Nghi - honest farmers in the renovation period, many videos attracted millions of views".
After a period of operation, Mr. Huong Farm Stay is not only a place for sightseeing and experience but also a place to organize events and consume local agricultural products. Since then, the tourist market has expanded to the northern provinces and cities and some southern provinces of the country. Gradually stabilizing, Mr. Huong Farm Stay is currently the regular workplace of 9 young people, aged 20 - 32. Here, the young people not only do professional work but also actively participate in creating content on digital platforms, serving the destination's communication work.
Constantly innovating the approach and tourism products, the current media theme is focusing on "Youth Stories", with many attractive music shows and videos filmed at the farm. In the coming October, Mr. Huong Farm Stay will organize some new check-in scenes and spaces, focusing on the theme of "Vietnamese Women's Day October 20". In particular, members of the Dong Son Event & Travel team are also actively completing the program and script of "Teambuilding to experience history", focusing on local history. The program is expected to be "test run" in mid-October. Therefore, Ha Dong, Huu Ngo and team members are urgently completing the script, arranging the space, scene, building Hoang Cam kitchen;... at the same time, preparing costumes and props suitable for upcoming teambuilding activities.
Talking about the advantages of young people working in tourism, Nguyen Ha Dong briefly said: “Daredevil, dynamic and creative. The important thing in the team members is to be healthy and have the need to improve and assert themselves. These are the factors for each young person in the team to strive, innovate, and contribute to building Ong Huong Farm Stay into an attractive tourist destination, while developing Dong Son Event & Travel into a strong unit in the field of event organization and tourism in the province in the coming time”.
