With the desire to spread many beautiful images of sports to the community, Mr. Ngo Dinh Tuan (born in 1980) in Quarter 8, Gio Linh town, Gio Linh district, has built the media channel "Xom lang TV" specializing in organizing sports - cultural events; producing images and videos for sports tournaments; livestreaming and consulting on organizing tournaments. The channel currently has tens of thousands of followers and has created a positive effect. In addition, Mr. Tuan is also a person passionate about local sports activities; regularly supporting and sponsoring many events and tournaments in Gio Linh, Trieu Phong, Dakrong districts, Dong Ha city..., contributing to the development of mass sports.

From passion

“Xom Lang TV” has become one of the top search choices for Quang Tri sports enthusiasts whenever they want to follow or update news about tournaments in and outside the province. The fanpage “Xom Lang TV” currently has 22,000 followers and 11,500 likes, regularly posting high-quality images and livestreams to the community. That is the result of a passion for sports nurtured over many years, along with Mr. Tuan’s determination to explore and learn at work and his efforts to overcome many difficulties.

“I am a sports enthusiast, especially passionate about football. I once founded a football team named Huy Tuan, which competed quite successfully in many grassroots football tournaments. Four years ago, during a local amateur football tournament, the organizing committee members and I really wanted to hire a livestream team to spread the image of the tournament, but we couldn't contact anyone. At that time, in Quang Tri province, some individuals commented and livestreamed sports tournaments, but because there were few, they couldn't meet the demand. That's why I had the idea of ​​establishing a football livestream team," said Mr. Tuan.

Having studied at a college in the field of networks and computers and worked in the IT industry, Mr. Tuan is quite knowledgeable about information technology. Thinking is doing, he started practicing by taking photos and livestreaming matches in tournaments organized by himself. First, Mr. Tuan learned about the software used for livestreaming and how to use it proficiently. After that, he spent a lot of time online researching, going to forums to read instructions on how to choose the right equipment and configuration.

He said: “Even though I work in the IT industry, livestreaming was really new to me at that time. “Live streaming” sounds easy, it seems like anyone can do it with just a smartphone and social media, but in reality it is not like that. To get high-quality, clear and uninterrupted images, choosing equipment such as cameras, connection devices, audio equipment, transmission lines... all require knowledge and experience.”

With the view that good work will spread to many people, Mr. Tuan always tries to explore and learn more to gain deeper knowledge; tries his hand at livestreaming amateur football matches and listening to feedback from viewers. In June 2022, the channel "Xom Lang TV" was officially established with a livestream team of 4 members, equipment including 1 camcorder and 1 camera. This is also the first step, a source of motivation for Mr. Tuan to continue to maintain his passion, bringing more beautiful images to the community.

Affirming the "brand"

In the early days of building the media channel, although some people knew about it, Mr. Tuan and the members of the livestream team still encountered many difficulties. The investment in equipment was still low, so they could not compete with other media teams.

On the other hand, at the time the “Xom Lang TV” channel was launched, there were many sports media channels established in Quang Tri. Struggling to improve the quality and help more people know about it, Mr. Tuan always took the time to listen to comments from the audience as well as colleagues and seniors.

“After each livestream, all four members of the team sit down to read each comment, select positive feedback to edit, learn from experience and work more carefully. In order to be more professional and serve the diverse needs of the audience, I also researched and developed my own software tool to serve my work,” said Mr. Tuan.

His passion and seriousness in work have brought "sweet fruit" to Mr. Tuan when his media channel is increasingly known by many people. To better serve the needs of the people, he has expanded his consulting services to organize tournaments for many sports; livestream important events and celebrations for his hometown; provide free support to localities in Gio Linh district in filming and editing videos after each sports tournament; write analysis and commentary articles about the sports tournaments that he directly livestreams.

From only livestreaming football tournaments, “Xom Lang TV” has become a media channel that can livestream and update news of many tournaments such as tennis, volleyball, running... to cultural events, arts, traditional festivals in many localities in the province. Mr. Tuan also regularly contacts and connects with leading commentators inside and outside the province to coordinate the organization of complete media packages for tournaments. Recently, he has invested in buying 3 new cameras, 2 cameras and recruiting more people to serve the event media department.

Talking to us, many people in Gio Linh district said that, in addition to his passion for sports, what is valuable about Mr. Tuan is his heart and affection for his homeland. For many years, since before establishing the channel "Xom Lang TV", he has always accompanied and supported many grassroots sports tournaments in Gio Linh district; sponsored livestreams for the program celebrating the 30th anniversary of Gio Linh town and many football and volleyball tournaments of Gio Linh town...

In addition, Mr. Tuan is also a sponsor for many sports tournaments in the province, notably: Quang Tri Province U11 Football Tournament, Quang Tri Province 7-a-side Football Championship for Usnano Cup, Ward 5 Football Tournament, Dong Giang Ward Football Tournament...; supporting images and videos for many sports tournaments of agencies and units in the province.

Mr. Tuan shared: “With the motto of joining hands and contributing to spreading the province's sports image to all regions, I and the members of the team are always ready to support the communication part for the tournaments of our hometown. In the coming time, I will try harder to improve the quality of the fanpage; research and learn more new communication methods to make it attractive and attract viewers. I will also focus on the event segment to affirm the "brand", at the same time create more resources to sponsor and provide the best support for sports tournaments in the province".
