(NADS) - On March 15, in Hue City, the Thua Thien Hue Photography Association in collaboration with the Hanoi Art Photography Association and the Ho Chi Minh City Photography Association organized the opening of the Art Photography Festival exhibition of three twin cities: Hanoi - Hue - Ho Chi Minh City, with the theme "Spring Colors of Three Regions".
Attending the ceremony were: Artist Tran Thi Thu Dong - Vice President of the Vietnam Union of Literature and Arts Associations, President of the Vietnam Association of Photographic Artists, Member of the 15th National Assembly of Vietnam; Comrade Phan Ngoc Tho, Permanent Deputy Secretary of Thua Thien Hue Province; Artist, Journalist Ho Sy Minh - Permanent Vice President of the Vietnam Association of Photographic Artists, Editor-in-Chief of Photography & Life Magazine, Head of the Photography Theory and Criticism Board; Artist Le Nguyen, Vice President of the Vietnam Association of Photographic Artists, Chairman of the Arts Council; Writer Ho Dang Thanh Ngoc, Chairman of the Thua Thien Hue Provincial Association of Literature and Arts; representatives of the leaders of the 3 Photography Associations of Hanoi, Hue, and Ho Chi Minh City.
The exhibition is part of a series of activities to celebrate the 71st Anniversary of Vietnam Photography Traditional Day (March 15, 1953 - March 15, 2024) and the 155th anniversary of the famous person Dang Huy Tru bringing photography to Vietnam (1869-2024) at the Dang family temple (Thanh Luong village, Huong Xuan ward, Huong Tra town) of three sister Photography Associations.
The exhibition “Fragrance and Colors of Three Regions” brings together 90 artistic photographic works by 90 authors from 3 Photography Associations of Hanoi, Hue, and Ho Chi Minh City. The exhibited works are newly created works reflecting the achievements of economic - cultural - social development of the 3 regions of the country.
The exhibition introduces images of lands with many beautiful natural landscapes, truly and vividly reflecting the beauty of nature and Vietnamese people in their work and daily life.
The works selected for exhibition have good ideological value and artistic quality, high humanity and aesthetics, creative exploration in every angle, creating impressive visual effects. The authors have many new efforts in artistic expression methods.
