According to the latest update on Forbes on the afternoon of April 1, billionaire Pham Nhat Vuong's assets reached 7.7 billion USD, ranking 396th on the list of the world's richest people.
The assets of Vietnam's richest billionaire increased sharply thanks to the impressive growth of VIC shares. In the first trading session of April, the group of stocks of the Vingroup family, including VIC of Vingroup and VRE of Vincom Retail, increased from 4% to nearly 5% in value, VHM of Vinhomes also increased by nearly 3.7%.

VIC shares climbed to over VND60,000/share, equivalent to the highest price in 19 months. In the past month, VIC shares have increased in value by nearly 50%. The increase pushed the market capitalization to over VND231,000 billion, consolidating the position of the number 1 private corporation on the Vietnamese stock exchange.
In the morning session of April 1 alone, it is estimated that the amount of VIC shares directly held by billionaire Pham Nhat Vuong increased by more than VND1,200 billion, reaching a value of nearly VND42,000 billion. In addition, the Chairman of Vingroup also indirectly owns VIC shares through Vietnam Investment Group Corporation and VMI Real Estate Investment and Management Corporation.
Previously, at the end of 2024, Mr. Pham Nhat Vuong owned assets of 4.4 billion USD, ranking 712th in the world. Thus, in the first 3 months of this year, billionaire Pham Nhat Vuong's assets increased by 3.3 billion USD, and his ranking increased by 316 places.
Billionaire Pham Nhat Vuong first appeared on Forbes ' list of world billionaires in 2013, with a fortune of 1.5 billion USD, ranking 974th in the world. At one point, billionaire Pham Nhat Vuong was in the top 30 richest people in the world with a fortune of more than 44 billion USD when VinFast was first listed on the Nasdaq in August 2023.
