Clearance of land for expressway through Quang Tri: One household has not yet handed over the land

The Van Ninh - Cam Lo expressway project is facing problems with site clearance at the construction site of the National Highway 9 overpass.

The North-South expressway project, Van Ninh - Cam Lo section, has a total route length of more than 65.5 km, of which the section through Quang Binh province is more than 33 km, and the section through Quang Tri province is more than 32.5 km.

According to local reports, the project implementation still has some problems and difficulties. In particular, the Van Ninh - Cam Lo project in Quang Tri province has some slow site clearance locations, affecting the progress of the entire project.

According to the report of the People's Committee of Cam Lo and Vinh Linh districts, by the afternoon of March 28, for the construction scope of the 3 above-mentioned expressway overpasses, at the National Highway 9D overpass and the overpass of the Northern bypass of National Highway 9 (Tam Hiep overpass), people had received money to hand over the remaining piers and pillars.

However, at the construction area of ​​the National Highway 9 overpass (Cam Hieu commune, Cam Lo district), there is still a household that has not agreed to receive compensation and hand over the site.

The local government will continue to visit and persuade this household to receive compensation and hand over the site soon to ensure the progress of the overpass construction.

If the people still do not cooperate, the local authorities will have to enforce the decision. If forced, this household will not receive other support from the Quang Tri Provincial People's Committee.

According to the Ho Chi Minh Road Project Management Board, up to now, the Van Ninh - Cam Lo expressway (connecting Quang Tri and Quang Binh) has completed 59 km, and has deployed construction of 29/29 bridges.

With the remaining workload, the construction units strive to basically complete the project by April 30, with the three overpasses on the route expected to be completed by June 30. However, this progress still depends on the locality handing over the site.

According to Mr. Ha Sy Dong, Acting Chairman of the People's Committee of Quang Tri province, the province has issued documents to resolve the people's petitions. However, during the implementation process, some people have not yet agreed on the compensation and support plan for land acquisition and clearance due to reasons related to unit prices and support for land acquisition and clearance when resettling on-site.

The province has directed localities to speed up the implementation progress, propagate and mobilize people to agree on the approved compensation plan to soon hand over the site for the project, serving the implementation of construction work according to plan. It is expected that in April, the site clearance work will be completed, handing over the site for the overpass and connecting road projects.

Mr. Nguyen Long Hai, Secretary of the Quang Tri Provincial Party Committee, affirmed that the province will focus on directing the implementation of solutions; propose specific plans to reach consensus with the people, urgently and thoroughly resolving this issue based on actual conditions and legal regulations.

Besides land acquisition, the recent frequent rains, especially in the construction area of ​​But Pass (Vung Ang - Bung project), have also somewhat affected the project's progress.
