Warning of dangerous forest fires in Chi Linh City and Kinh Mon Town

Hai Duong Forest Protection Department requires localities to proactively develop effective forest fire prevention plans.

According to the forecast of the National Center for Hydrometeorology and the monitoring of the Hai Duong Forest Protection Department, from April 1 to 7, the weather in the province will be unusual, with no rain in the first and middle days of the week, light rain on the weekend, insignificant rainfall, sunny weather during the day combined with low humidity and low humidity of combustible materials, so the area of Chi Linh City and Kinh Mon Town is at risk of dangerous forest fires (level IV). It is forecasted that if a fire occurs, the fire will spread quickly.

To prevent and minimize the number of incidents and damage caused by forest fires, the Forestry Department requests the People's Committees of Chi Linh City and Kinh Mon Town to proactively take effective measures to prevent forest fires according to the direction of superiors.

Direct the police, military, forest rangers, forest owners and People's Committees of communes and wards to increase patrolling and checking forests from 3-7pm every day in key fire areas, especially forest areas bordering historical sites, special-use forests and protective forests. Strictly control people and vehicles entering the forest to detect early and mobilize fire fighting forces promptly to control the fire immediately.

Ensure that forces are on duty even on holidays during the period when forest fire forecasts are from level III to level V. Prepare plans to mobilize forces and means to respond to forest fire situations according to the "4 on-site" motto, resolutely not allowing large fires to occur.

The Forest Protection Department of Chi Linh City and Kinh Mon Town provides information to the local Radio Station to regularly and promptly announce the level of forecasts, warnings of forest fire risks, regulations on fire use in forests, forest edges and daily forest fire situations so that the authorities, forest owners and people can grasp and be proactive in forest fire prevention and fighting.

Hai Duong has over 1,500 hectares of special-use forests and over 4,000 hectares of protective forests. In recent years, there have been a number of small fires in the province, but they have also caused damage, especially since it takes a long time to restore the burned forest area.
