On the morning of April 2, the logistics team of the Vietnam People's Army search and rescue team in Myanmar went to Tha Pyay Gone market in Naypyitaw to buy food to serve the Army forces performing rescue missions after the earthquake in Naypyitaw.
"Vietnam - Myanmar we're family, we're best friends!" - the Logistics Team member said to the Myanmar woman.
At a vegetable stall, while the soldiers were choosing vegetables and tomatoes, suddenly a Myanmar woman approached and offered to pay for all the food that the Logistics Team was buying at the market.
Lieutenant Colonel Tran Manh Hung, a member of the Logistics Team, recounted that the middle-aged woman said in tears: Over the past few days, she was very moved when witnessing the tireless efforts of Vietnamese search and rescue soldiers to help people in Myanmar affected by the earthquake.
When she met Vietnamese soldiers going to the market, she wanted to express her gratitude by offering to pay for all the food that the Logistics Team was choosing to buy.
The members of the Logistics Team were deeply moved by the Myanmar woman's actions, expressed their gratitude for her kindness and explained to the woman that the logistics costs for the Vietnamese military's search and rescue team had been fully guaranteed by the Vietnamese government. The Team also hoped that the people of Myanmar would soon overcome the natural disaster and stabilize their lives.
"Vietnam - Myanmar we're family, we're best friends!" - the Logistics Team member said to the Myanmar woman.
"The logistics team overcame all difficulties in the conditions of no electricity and lack of water to always ensure food rations for the soldiers to have enough health to perform long-term search and rescue missions well," added Lieutenant Colonel Hung.
