National Kite Festival in Vung Tau on April 30th holiday

Vung Tau used to be the location of many kite festivals.

The 2025 National Art Kite Festival is scheduled to take place at Cot Co Park and along Thuy Van Beach (Back Beach), Vung Tau City from May 1-3 with the theme "Thanh am phong sac - Vu khuc cua phong". The festival is expected to gather 30-40 kite clubs nationwide with about 200-250 kite artists flying various types of kites such as: giant kites (10m-60m), LED kites, flute kites and combat kites...

The event contributes to attracting tourists and the kite enthusiast community, stimulating tourism, and creating opportunities for cultural exchange between kite artisans nationwide and internationally. Ms. Tran Thi Thu Hien, Deputy Director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, said that the locality is aiming to build a national brand for the art kite festival, contributing to preserving folk culture. The province aims to develop the kite festival into an annual event, increasing tourism products, contributing to raising the position, making Vung Tau a high-quality, international-class tourism center in the near future.
