The Asian Football Confederation (AFC) homepage has just published an article about the most worth-watching players at the 2025 AFC U17 Championship finals. The player that AFC noticed in the list of Vietnam U17 is captain and center back Le Huy Viet Anh.
Assessing the captain of the Vietnam U17 team, AFC wrote: “Vietnam U17 had a strong performance in the 2025 AFC U17 Championship qualifiers with significant contributions from defender Le Huy Viet Anh. This player not only played solidly in defense but also scored the equalizer in the 1-1 draw with Yemen.”
Le Huy Viet Anh, currently the captain of the U17 Vietnam team, expressed before the tournament's opening day: "My feelings right now are a mixture of nervousness and excitement as I prepare to enter the tournament. The training camp in Oman and the two recent friendly matches with U17 Oman were important stepping stones to help the whole team gain more confidence. Even though they were just friendly matches, the two wins over Oman still gave us great motivation."
Also mentioned in Group B is Hiroto Asada from Japan. This player scored 6 goals in the qualifying round. In Japan's 9-2 win over Nepal, this player scored a hat-trick and scored 2 goals in Japan's 5-0 win over Qatar.
On the Australian side, the notable name is Anthony Didulica. The Western United striker scored 5 goals in the qualifying round and is expected by the AFC to be the leading scorer for the Australian U17 team in the final round.

The 2025 AFC U17 Championship will take place in Saudi Arabia with 4 groups, the top 2 teams in each group will qualify for the 2025 AFC U17 Championship Quarterfinals and the 2025 FIFA U17 World Cup Finals. Coach Cristiano Roland's team will have their first match on April 4 against U17 Australia.
